  1. Another dozen should be enough considering the pen.
  2. If I was managing the team Davis would be sitting in the bullpen for games.
  3. What are you on record for? That he's going to pitch a complete game?
  4. Both times he tried it.
  5. Are they taller than him yet?
  6. But aren't we supposed to be the smart guys, on the cutting edge? Shouldn't we be the ones leveraging an expanded roster in unorthodox ways?
  7. Of course Elias is hurting their chances of doing just that by delaying their free agency. If he holds AR back he'll likely cost him millions, maybe tends of millions.
  8. Any manager that uses an opener or is having a "bullpen game" would. Which is how some of us think Hyde should have been handling things given the size of his bullpen. The results were fine in the first two innings but did anyone think Milone looked dominant?
  9. If you don't eventually put out a competitive team all you have been doing is building for someone else's future.
  10. I could see why he wouldn't know. Some folks have been advocating that approach since that is, in a very simple sense, what the Astros did.
  11. Back in January we would all be freaking out if the O's were only one game back in late July.
  12. I'm fine with not paying for mid-tier free agents I don't agree with the miserly advancement of prospects. I think guys can develop just fine in the majors and that the service time issues are overblown in almost all cases.
  13. Judging from what we have seen from him I wouldn't expect next season's opening day roster to include to high or middle ranked prospects. I wouldn't be shocked to see Diaz being the only highly though of guy (only including two pitchers) brought up at all. Hopefully we won't see a work stoppage in 2022.
  14. Two center fielders? Novel approach.
  15. Well, Nate's 38 and has been out of baseball since 2014 so I'm guessing he probably wouldn't have been making a lot of plays. BTW I love how your expert enough that you can diagnose the loss of velocity on a single throw from the outfield.
  16. Naw, just think of the numbers you would have to put up if everyone was judged solely on how they did against the Orioles.
  17. It's the loneliest number since the number one.
  18. At least we have Smith to look forward to.
  19. I don't think they pay him if he just sits there silently.
  20. I was pleased you got the one I dropped.
