  1. He's a bagger, and no I didn't see Dick today when I went to the store.
  2. The fan base (such as it is) is on board with whatever they do pretty much.
  3. Price is worth a lot more then compensation pick, and if you can recoup 4-5 million in salary while you are at it...
  4. As it should be. New posts tab folks, use it.
  5. Of course with the O's luck developing pitchers...
  6. You can only get so much out of MiLB stats. You are better off waiting for the mid and post season prospect lists were experts that actually watch the players play can give their opinions. I am interested to see if these two and for that mater Bridwell show up on the hot sheet tomorrow.
  7. Any particular reason, aside from trolling, that you decided to post practically identical content comparing Harvey and Hader in two threads minutes apart?
  8. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Brian Roberts is tied for the Major League lead in triples.</p>— YCPB (@cantpredictball) <a href=" ">May 15, 2014</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
  9. Please provide a source. I know us folks on the board discussed that trade but I have not seen any evidence that the Tigers would have pulled the trigger on the deal. I don't think the Tigers ever had any interest in Johnson, he doesn't strike enough guys out.
  10. It's May and the weather hasn't been great. If they can stay competitive there should be a bump up from last year.

  12. I'm glad I don't have to root for someone of his character.
  13. Is that what Ballfour keeps in the back of his truck?
  14. I think it is a LOT more likely that a veteran player just started performing then a manager "mixing up" the lineup caused it.
  15. Strop on the DL with a groin strain. Of course with a 1.50 WHIP and 15/8 K/BB ratio they might not be missing him much.
  16. Well you can safely let someone like Johnson accumulate saves this season. It isn't likely that Oakland wants him back at market value or would tender him a qualifying offer. I don't think Beane is sold on JJ being able to get the job done so he decided to spread them around since he would run into issues if he let one of his arms under team control accumulate them. As for flipping him...don't a lot of trade deadline closer become set up men at their new homes?
  17. I am not sure they go with a dedicated closer again this year. If you look at it they have had seven different relievers finish at least three games this year. Save are more bunched with it going 3-1-1.
  18. Good catch. Sure looks like Norfolk could use him.
  19. I think he will randomly switch between pretty good and out of the game by the fourth.
  20. Next season? I don't think the Rays trade Price to the Yanks this season unless they dramatically overpay and Baseball Prospectus has the Yanks with the #23 farm system. Someone like Texas is a lot more likely.
  21. At the end of the year sure. If the Rays are in the thick of the playoff hunt they won't trade him off.
