  1. The correct answer is No, Hicks would not get that contract offer.
  2. 297 Runs and 276 Runs Allowed. That tells me that the team is overachieving and that it is unlikely to continue.
  3. Mancini had a 115 OPS+ despite the wall in left sapping his HR total.
  4. Mancini snagged a 2/14M deal after he collapsed for the Astros. Do you think Hicks could get that on the open market?
  5. I think that if it comes to that point for the Cardinals where he ends up has a lot more to do with where he allows himself to be traded than anything else. If he says "I'll only accept a trade to the Astros" well, the Cards probably aren't going to get a lot for him.
  6. Pretty sure I didn't state they did.
  7. Do you spend it on passable SS/3B defense and a 417 slugging? Do you spend it on a 1B with a 356 slugging? You should be spending the first pick on the best player in that draft class. An absolute stud isn't there every year. Even you know this. That being said I'm fine with the bat but I'm disappointed in the glove this year. I think the number of games he's playing is a factor.
  8. So you are just making stuff up and ignoring data. Thanks for confirming.
  9. Even if you look at just this year, which is a stupid thing to do, the Park Factor for OPACY is 97. That is not "extreme". Last season it was 99. This information is easily available if you want to provide actual data and not make things up.
  10. He'd be helping the Orioles.
  11. Pitching to contact is a lot less viable than striking guys out.
  12. I'd work out a Dyson sponsorship.
  13. I was joking, about that one start Grayson had, maybe his second? It seemed like he gave up 8 2 strike hits that game, he just couldn't finish anyone. I'm not really sure the data means all that much, it might just be noise, maybe if you use it in conjunction with team K rates?
  14. Take out that one start from Grayson and they are league average.
  15. Now saying odd, that isn't an accusation. http://www.banishedtothepen.com/the-cardinals-and-the-best-home-records-in-history/ Here you go, the 2015 Cardinals went 29-7.
  16. So something fishy is going on but you are not making any accusations? Yes, you are. Saying something fishy is going on is making an accusation. It's a vague accusation, without a shred of evidence.
  17. Oh right, you are the guy that thinks everyone other than the middle infielders can be fat. Did you see the triple I linked to? Did you see that double I posted video of? Those are not plays normal athletes can make. I think players like Cruz and De La Cruz, if properly marketed, can lead to increased viewership of the product. Much like Ohtani, it is more enticing to watch a game when you feel you might see something truly amazing that takes your breath away.
  18. This is not talk about the Orioles, this is talk about a ML team. What, exactly, do you think the problem is? Go ahead and make an accusation if you have one. I'd also not call a 92 win pace over a season pedestrian.
  19. Did you see what he looks like? Did you see how he can move? He's at a different level as an athlete.
  20. Not to slight Mateo but Cruz and De La Cruz are 6'5"-6'7", just monster athletes and are putting up huge EV numbers while playing shortstop. They really seem like a new breed out there on the diamond.
  21. Much like Majors in the Army Reserves, not everyone should be in uniform.
