I said the other day that I don't want the O's coasting to the title.
I'm not rooting for a nailbiter but I'd rather they have someone at least close until the last week or two.
It's OK, we knew the second he cooled down even a bit folks would come out swinging.
I really don't know why folks here dislike him so much. He seems like a nice guy.
While I don't think this deal gets done I don't think a team in their window should be looking to add multiple rotation pieces on one year deals every off season.
What if he's a bullpen arm for the rest of the season (which is a need)?
I don't think he's immediately getting shut down by a team if they trade for him during the season.
They shouldn't just be looking at this season tho right?
What's the 2025 opening day rotation look like right now?
Even if you just slot him in the pen the rest of the season that's value for this season.

I don't think they are going to give up a superior return over that small a sum.
I'm going to disagree because I don't think hit for average is considered an "elite athlete" tool.
Elly De La Cruz is an elite athlete, so was Bubba Starling. Mateo is an Elite athlete.
You can be an elite athlete and still not be a good ML player.
