  1. So is the Washington Monument but it does not do a good interview either. ?
  2. Maybe we can sign him as a free agent...again.
  3. Happy for Steve Pearce...Drive that 2019 Silverado Trailboss Chevy
  4. Ken Rosenthal may be the worst interviewer ever.
  5. Ok, Series is over..where is our new President and GM?
  6. Pearce with the icing on his MVP cake with 2nd homer tonight. Manny has totally sucked this entire Series.
  7. I love this....all different foreign broadcasts of Pearce’s bases clearing double.. https://www.mlb.com/video/c-2518276883
  8. Love watching Rich Hill pitch. He is a master craftsman. For us? Umm...not so much..lol
  9. Manny chasing pitches out of the zone....looking to be the hero...not anything new.
  10. Since 1965, I favor the AL team in the World Series. Am I as enthusiastic when it is the Yankees or Red Sox? No, I am not. I root against both the MFYs and the Red Sox at all playoff levels until they become the AL representative. If the Orioles change to the NL, then I will root for the NL. No way can I root for a NL team in the Series.
  11. Manny has done these things since he was a rookie. No longer any excuses for his behavior. He is who he is. Arod. I anticipate there being at least one historic altercation that he instigates by his behavior against the Red Sox. I was planning on breaking my tradition of always rooting for the AL team in the World Series, but nope. Go Sox!
  12. Manny does best when he is acting joyfully, like a kid, like the moments after a game where he met the kid who caught a homerun, etc. Because he still is a kid in so many ways. But then, kids can also have a strong sense of entitlement and Manny definitely has that entitled star mentality. He will be eaten alive in NY...I hope he signs somewhere else.
  13. I would probably throw $300 at him.....$300 million probably not, but I could go for $300.
  14. So.. what has happened since this evaluation in March 2017? How often does a system"s "top prospect" organizationally at Double AA and Triple AA not even sniff the big leagues the very next season? "Ranked as the Orioles' top prospect, Sisco has had no problem handling himself at the plate over four seasons in the Minor Leagues. The 22-year-old stayed true to form last year with a .317/.403/.430 slash line between Double-A Bowie and a brief stint with Triple-A Norfolk. His .406 on-base percentage in 112 Eastern League games led all of Double-A. Sisco also made strides behind the plate in 2016, rounding out his game and helping him earn a spot as MLB.com's No. 99 overall prospect. The loss of Matt Wieters to the Nationals via free agency seems to indicate that Baltimore views the 2013 second-round pick as its catcher of the future. "We anticipate that he'll get a chance to catch every day in Triple-A," Orioles director of player development Brian Graham said. "He was the youngest catcher in Double-A baseball last year, and being a left-handed hitting catcher is a commodity. His receiving is getting better, his throwing is getting better. His overall catching performance has improved dramatically over the last 18 months." https://www.milb.com/milb/news/baltimore-orioles-prospect-primer-catcher-chance-sisco-on-the-rise/c-219661108
  15. Yes, well that will be the least of our problems going forward.
  16. Getting rid of Trumbo will make it simpler. Mancini can play 1b and make Davis the DH although they can switch out at times. Unless ownership agrees to eat Davis contract..unlikely for 2019 at least, imho.
  17. Trey has had his sophomore struggles on a team that has been historically bad. He is hot recently and hopefully will have a strong finish. I will continue to hope that he will make more progress next year, particularly if they can find a way to clear Davis and Trumbo from the picture and let him return to first.
  18. Oops, I meant better, not much better. I just reserve the word butcher for the Curt Blefarys, Dave Kingmans, Frank Howards, Pete Incaviglias, Adam Dunns, Mark Trumbos of the baseball world.
  19. I knew I should have just kept the thought to myself. Have at it....label him butcher all one wishes. He has made plays that I would be happy to get the videos and put here that "butchers" do not make, imho. Is he challenged in range in left, yes, is his lack of speed a liability, yes, had I hoped he would have made more progress, yes, but I still do not see him as a "butcher." . He generally catches what he gets to and he makes plays at times that are very impactful to individual games.
  20. Delmon Young was a butcher, Mark Trumbo is a butcher...Trey is a guy who plays a less than adequate left field and who is a much better first baseman than left fielder. But then so was Boog Powell.
  21. “Can you write that every game day, please?” Sincerely, Trey’s Mom.
  22. Honus was a freak of nature...most shorstops for the next 75 years were much more like Pee Wee Reese and Phil Rizzuto than they were anywhere close to being like Honus. Except maybe Ernie Banks though he did not stay at short.
