Past couple weeks I've been religiously checking box scores for Orioles and Diamondbacks hoping we can get some distance on them for that first overall pick but Mountcastle doesn't seem to have the same goals as I do.

Looks like he has good hit tools, speed, and fielding. He was top 10 prospect, not a huge reach. I'd rather have had one of the SS's but it is what it is. He's an Oriole now, so I'll root for him to succeed.

It would be amazing if PA an family sold the team. All I have known as an Orioles fan has been his regime. My personal view of him are equal to how I feel about Jeffrey Maier.

Its funny, because like the rest of us we just want our kids to have fun and be happy. My 10yr old will hopefully play HS baseball and that be it. I never knew about what these "future prospects" go through until talking to a buddy of mine who's 13 yr old son (Dillon Adkins) was on Team USA 12U last year and all the things that they do year round. He's was getting scholarship offers last Dec. Its crazy to me, I never knew things like this started that early.

I wasn't completely sold on Martin but.. I never heard anyone mention this kid for us. That last name just flows off the tongue..

I know my choice is unpopular and won't happen but I rather have Vaughn. If Rutschman wasn't a catcher I'd be fine taking him. Vaughn is an elite bat that won't be hampered by playing a brutal position like Rutschman.

I am happy with Diaz, meh about the rest. Wonder what was being offered this off season, as well as last deadline in comparison. I will miss Manny, but glad he gets to escape this chaotic organization. I wish him the best of luck.
