  1. They opened up the last few sections in the upper deck to let people space out a bit if they want.
  2. Whoever that CF is I don’t like him anymore.
  3. If we clobber him on his way out the same as we did on his way in, I’m okay with that lol. Let him get complacent then explode in the 7th.
  4. lol their pitcher is right back on track for his pitch count. 47 P through 3 IP is about 16/inning which is fine. But if we keep them off the board I don’t really care if our offense goes to sleep. They just need to wake up enough to win every night
  5. I’m ok with both teams leaving it at 5-1 and making outs for the rest of the game. Just don’t let the Mariners encroach on our lead.
  6. 32? 33? Pitches for their guy and 5 runs. A lot riding on that Seattle error but I’ll take it. Crowd is happy lol. Now let’s see if Means can have a semblance of a quality outing. If he can even sniff one, I’ll be happy.
  7. They might later… you could still be right at some point in the game lol
  8. wow — Judging from crowd noise, how packed it is on the first level, and the line at the gate, I’m betting this is 35k tonight.
  9. Gonna need some bats tonight. Means isn’t it. Might see long Baumann or Suarez.
  10. Same way most of us did, probably. It's easy enough to just stop caring about a team that's obviously bad, and just look at the scores after the game and roll your eyes. Or maybe Roy watches all the games even in the bad years, but lowered his expectations to the point that he could anticipate a loss without feeling bad about it. The "problem" with our current team is that we anticipate a win, we have a winning culture, but they're struggling at the plate right now. So, expectations are high, and they aren't meeting those expectations. Hence Roy's heart palpitations. He probably doesn't feel that way in years when the expectations are low and they play down to those low expectations.
  11. The way they've been swinging the bats on the whole, Hyde may have a point there: we're more probable to execute a squeeze play than to hit the ball out of the infield for a sac fly or base hit with RISP. That says a lot about our offense, but by the numbers it might actually be true.
  12. From the offense side I agree. But our pitchers held the Jays to 2 runs with a mix of good escapes and good innings. If you can hold the opponent to 2 runs for an entire game, you might just get enough chances that someone like Adley will cash one of them in. And he did.
  13. Stupid decision, blown call, not enough evidence to overturn. Boneheads.
  14. 3 more uncompetitive outs. This game is not fun to watch.
  15. 3 years? We have to sit through 3.5 more years of this nonsense before he hangs up his hat? Sheesh. Has serious Chris Davis vibes.
  16. I actually had more hope with him than with the rest of our bottom of the order. Not surprised anymore about Mullins or a bunch of the others. McCann had some good games.
  17. There you go Mullins, just stare impotently at the baseball. That's what we pay you the big bucks for.
  18. The 10th ends as a microcosm of the entire game: futility at the plate. Cano coughed it up, but we can't play 495 innings to give the offense a chance to score - at some point they have to get it done. They didn't tonight.
  19. How was that not a balk by Romano against Cowser?!
  20. It's only a solo, but it's something! Adley delivers!
  21. In my mind I swap Santander and Westburg, and maybe even put Westburg closer to 30.
  22. To continue the extreme recency bias, don't worry, they are sitting Santander. He sits down on the bench between innings when he isn't batting, on deck, or in the hole.
  23. The Jays are 18-22, with an X-W/L of 15-25! With a good young core like they have, can anyone summarize for me why the Blue Jays are not only under .500, but seemingly lucky to have as many wins as they have? Berrios looks terrifying as usual...
