McKenna fills a different role on the team than Westburg would. If they call up westburg, they’re not going to dfa mckenna. Also guy is hitting over .300. People’s desire around here to dfa productive players, just bc they’re tired of them seems weird

Stowers has made some very nice looking catches this year. When he gets to the ball, he seems to catch it. The difficulty is that so much of an outfielders skill level happens before they get to the ball. With stowers sometimes (and santander and hays) it’s hard to know if it’s a relatively easy catch they’re making look difficult, or a difficult catch. Stowers doesn’t have enough data yet this year, but last year him jump, and his feet covered were both very poor.

For the record the top team in baseball this year, in innings pitched by starters - the Twins, is averaging 5.62 innings per starter. The Orioles are t24 at 5.06 Tampa is 29th at 4.67 (and they're near the bottom every year)

Just keep in mind that the Atlanta ace Strider just went 5IP against the Orioles, and that's what he does in most starts. If you're expecting someone to come in here and routinely give you 7-8ip, your expectations are probably unrealistic

The Orioles don't have elite starters, but you can plan for that. Tampa starters have thrown the fewest innings in the majors, but it's by design..and they build and plan their bullpen with that in mind. Rather then asking starters to be able to go through the order 3x
