  1. Good grief, thankful it's over. Someone go get the broadcast team that adult beverage. Fenway is a house of horrors
  2. Wow, what a play by Westburg and Fuji
  3. The sox defense is apparently contagious (but I think this is a downside of asking Henderson to go play 3b when he's been playing mostly 3b 0
  4. Love this thread. I’m old enough (barely) to have some memories of the early 90’s, but those mid-90’s teams were my first memory of orioles success. In some respects I get ‘97 team vibes from this one.
  5. Thank you to those who suggested the SOSH game thread, it is comedy gold
  6. McKenna making up for his earlier fenway game
  7. Bradish has been super elite lately...but he's almost a reverse Kremer. Great for 5, but struggles in the 6/7. Kremer struggles at the start, but if he gets through that, he can go deep
  8. I'm a little surprised that they weren't moved up last week, but I don't think 1 week vs 2 makes a difference. At that point you're complaining just to complain. Bradfield is a good prospect, but he's not a prospect at the same level as Cowser (or even Shaw). He played in a high level conference in college, but he's not necessarily a polished bat. He'll have to make adjustments to continue to succeed.
  9. I’m going to guess Charles makes it. They’ve added relief pitchers we were surprised about the last few years. Charles fits the profile, hard thrower-poor control
  10. 91.2 avg FB velocity, 80.3 avg changeup velocity 13 whiffs overall, 4 on FB, 6 on changeup
  11. Fastball velocity, he needs it to make the change-up work
  12. I feel for ortiz. Also I sort of wish that the orioles had gotten him some outfield reps. He’s obviously a great SS, but that would have made him a better fit for this roster, as the orioles are determined to keep mateo
  13. Er Levy pays the Orioles, they then set their own budget to maximize their profit. The concessions at least you can't blame on JA. Full disclosure, I haven' sat in the upper deck this year (will in Sept for sweatshirt night), but I've found the beer selection to be good, and the new automated beer coolers to be fast. The local food stand has been a cool addition, if you want a hot dog buy it outside. Lexington market has been totally re-done, and is very nice. As to the upper deck, my guess is Levy looked at the number of people they expected to sit up there this season, and just decided basically not to run it this year in terms of concessions
  14. I'm currently waiting on this. I don't have season tickets this year, as I'm easily able to buy tickets for the games I want to go to (and I was away much of the summer), but if buying season tickets for next year on the flex plan will get me the right to buy tickets to the playoffs, I will become a new season ticket holder.
  15. General rule of thumb, the guys who look the worst will wear the least (this is also the rule of speedos)
  16. Orioles might not be elite at any one thing (esp without Bautista), but they're good at everything...that gives you a lot of ways to win Also apparently McKenna would like to be on the October roster
  17. Dude can't throw a strike, and the umpire is giving him balls. WTF
  18. I think if you officially declare it a reverse jinx you have violated the rules/karma of the reverse jinx
  19. Sox gave the Orioles some gifts. Wish they'd give Webb a day or two break
  20. Pretty much this is what the season ticket base is. You’re not really going to get any walk up sales on a Monday against the white Sox on the fist day of school. Also why season ticket sales are so important
  21. Well that was some nice defense, guess the White sox CF at least heard you
  22. McKenna drives in a run, hangout immediately attempts to option him to Triple A after the game
