I brought steak sandwiches to the last game, I've also carried in Ekiben and if I'm pressed for time hot dogs (don't put the condiments on until you're in the stadium). I'll usually buy a beer and maybe some french fries or nachos. I've generally found the food quality and prices better then at Ravens stadium or concerts, and the food policy is much more generous.

Because I saw someone asked, here are some things to do in Baltimore if you're in town for an O's game (all relatively near the stadium). 1. Top golf 2. American Visionary Art Musem 3. Crabcakes at Faidleys (Lexington Market has been re-done and it's gorgeous) 4. Eat at Little Italy or in Federal Hill 5. Aquarium/Science Center (especially if you have kids in tow)/Museum of Industry 6. Go Sailing (rent a boat yourself, or go on a "cruise") 7. Fort McHenry (take the water taxi) 8. Walk around, especially in Federal Hill or Little Italy (or Patterson Park! - but it's a little further away) there are festivals, free concerts etc nearly every weekend during the summer.

Long term I would think winning games in October is the goal. Volpe is struggling hard right now, the Yankees are still running him out there. Even teams planning to make the play-offs have to let players struggle and develop at the ML level. And even short term, a lineup with Santander in RF shouldn't be the #1 choice for winning games

The issue isn't the defenders at 3b, ss, and 2b, it's the one in RF. Assuming those are the guys Hyde wants in the lineup, you have to move the defensive arrangement around (I'd put Frazier in RF but I'm accounting for Hyde's biases)

This lineup frustrates me because you are taking a good defender and putting them at DH, and putting a bad defender in the field. I also think it's problematic for Henderson's development to be playing him at DH often, and it speaks to Hyde's distrust of young players in general, and specifically on defense. That said, if this is Hyde's "a" lineup (in his mind) then Henderson should be getting reps in RF, so that at least you can put Henderson somewhere in the field and take out Santander (since he clearly feels like Urias and Fraier are the better IF defenders)

I thought it was very telling that when Hyde brought in a defensive replacement last night he took out stowers over santander. Also that he put in Hays over McKenna. Not a big vote of confidence there. Cant imagine either of those decisions is supported by analytics though
