Alright, time for me to eat some crow regarding Fry. So far, he clearly looks the part of a late inning high leverage guy in the BP. In command of all his stuff and other than one bad outing early on he’s clearly thriving as one of their best options.

Really good. I said the key for him is the CH and it’s showing again to be his bread and butter. But FB command doesn’t hurt either and dropping in the occasional CU gives hitters more to think about. The strike outs per game is an unexpected surprise. When a pitcher commands his arsenal combined with good sequencing it’s hard to beat.

The question still stands. And do you think Hyde or managers in general have little to no say in personnel decisions?
