  1. I just... watching Davis... it's awful. And we signed him forever.
  2. Solid deal. Expected. If we push him to #4 with someone like Lynn I'd feel better about the pitching. Or we could just trade Chris Davis for Clayton Kershaw.
  3. With Buck around, Davis will play a lot, no matter how bad. I suppose he'll get some days off if he's batting under .200 for a while. I'd start the year batting him 7th and see what happens.

I like Stewart. I saw a lot of him in Frederick. I don't believe he'll be ready for the O's in '18.

After the first four, I'm not real interested in seeing any of them in the O's outfield next year.

That's what I, and many others, were thinking... but I didn't have time to compile a good candidate list so I didn't offer the trade idea. All I keep thinking is Davis (5/85 or 5/115 depending on deferred) for Jordan Zimmerman (3/74), hoping he bounces back. That's terrifying all around.

I pray we get rid of Trumbo or Davis (which is impossible) this offseason. I don't care for Rickard, and Smith will be gone, but I want Hayes and Santander in the lineup next year and that can't happen with Davis, Trumbo, and Mancini taking up 3 of the 4 1B/DH/COF spots.
  8. We went from no OF options to a bunch of OF options. Nice. Now if we could only develop some starting pitching...
  9. Yeah, that happens around here. Gunkle was pretty bad. Like David Lough.
  10. Dan's always been a bit of a transaction junkie. Like this move a lot.
  11. Not everyone. I said then I would have gladly given Cruz that deal. Luckily we found a clone in Trumbo. Hope we keep him here. And, yeah, that Davies trade was horrid.
  12. Tillman, DOD and Britton threw 87 strikes and 38 balls tonight. Pounding the zone.
  13. Wait, DJ Stewart is our 6th best prospect?
  14. That was the PRO side of the trade; Davies isn't special and Parra was an upgrade over the lousy COFs we had. The CON side was the Parra would come here and suck because he was hitting well over his career average AND Davies, special or not was a decent and cheap option on a team with a poor rotation.
  15. Davies trade is the dumbest moment of DD's Orioles career. It capped off an absurd decision to not sell. We'd have better pitching now, $22M back, and the #14 pick. I can defend other decisions, at least a bit, anyway. I wish he had gone to Toronto.
  16. Bundy. Just so I can uncross my fingers. They've badly cramped these last two years...
  17. ERod getting bombed by Toronto at the moment. A 6-run 4th inning...
  18. I would have. Yes. The line up wasn't good enough last year and just lost its best hitter. In Dan I trust, but we need some sticks...
