It’s funny that the Cardinals get comp balance picks.

Clearly Markakis and Wieters weren’t disappointments. Mark Trumbo at #2 wouldn’t be a bust, but would be underwhelming.

Nope, I understand the value of the slot just fine. It’s impossible to get excited about Mark Trumbo as your reward for a 108 loss season. If that’s what Kjerstad turns out to be.

I wouldn’t be thrilled about getting a Trumbo with the #2 overall pick, even if he would be above average for the slot.

Looks like we’ll still be losing 100 games a year in 23/24.

Getting Kelley at 39 would be nice, but definitely an underwhelming draft.

They could have an interesting situation when the NL adopts the DH. Switch out Bart and Bailey between C and DH. Keep both fresh. Would have been interesting if the O’s did that with Rutschman, but we already have twelve DHs.
