OK, give me your thoughts. If you’re in a severe slump, Is it better to be aggressive and swing at the first pitch that comes in, or should you be careful and take a few?
I honestly don’t know, but i think Mountcastle should probably have taken a pitch or two.
See fastball, hit fastball.

Save me from aesthetically unpleasant players who manage to get the job done.
I'd much rather have a guy look good out there but suck.
It's always a surprise when he "gets the job done." And I wish I were exaggerating.

He does look pretty clumsy, but I don’t care as long as he can get to the ball, catch the ball and throw the ball.
We’re not watching the metropolitan ballet, you know.
By the way, every time that stupid iPhone 12 commercial comes on, with that ghastly cover of “the Candyman can”, God kills a kitten.
SAVE THE KITTENS
Like I said, DJ is unathletic. And that results in poor fielding. I don't care about his sprint speed. Dude is not well coordinated.
You can dance ballet and fall all over yourself on a baseball field.

Ok, possibly.
The main thing is that he’s sure hitting now, and defending well. He’s a keeper IMHO.
No, not possibly. His hitting was deemed a positive in his minor league scouting reports. There is no other way of interpreting his success. take a look: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/mullice01.shtml

OK. That's a pretty strong arm.
And an overall very unathletic play.

The knock on Mullins was that he was a good defender with a week arm, but he couldn’t hit very well.
I’m not sure that’s true…
It's not true - that he couldn't hit was not "the knock" on him in the minors. He hit well with some power in MiLB.
But he hit horribly when promoted, so maybe that's what you are thinking about.

I think the idea that the new PA announcer is a woman played a huge part in this. They want to be woke!

I think a big part of the reason why the team fired him is because they could move onto a woman Pa announcer.
Keep on trolling though.
"They fired him so they could hire a woman"
"I don’t think her being a woman is why he was fired."
"Wagner got fired because of his tweets."
"the team fired him because they could move onto a woman Pa announcer."You don't need me, you troll yourself by contradicting your own words!

"This" being Wagner's firing.

This is the definition of talking out of both sides of one's mouth.

He played for the O's for three years. I don't recall if he was traded or released. Had some success in Asia.
The continent, not the band.
I was less disappointed in Kam's performances than the band's.

Frankly if Weams can dominate up to the allstar break he should be sought after. Being a lefty and playing against the AL East and being cheap for years to come it will demand a large price. Especially if we only take prospects and dont demand any Major League level players in return.
I could see a team like the Yankees being desperate for an ace at the trade deadline.
I hope Michael is feeling well. And that he can, indeed, DOMINATE up to the All-Star Break!

If Means dominates to the Allstar break would it make sense to trade him if we can get a return like Bedard got?
Bedard get Jones, Tillman, Flat Breezy, Flat Breezy was flipped.
If Means is 12-3 at the allstar break we should flip him.
How about if he has thrown 100 innings at a 1.1 WHIP with a 0.5 HR/9 carrying a 2.50 ERA and a 3 -6 W/L? (Face it - no way he tallies 12 W's by the break.)
You would still be wildly lucky to get what Bedard returned, even if the talent is advertised as such.

Good luck getting that return. It is uncommon.

I was wondering how leading by 5 runs is like dry turkey.
Maybe because it isn't raining today?
