  1. Also, see the play Hicks just missed, and the several plays Cowser failed to make in center last week. Get used to that, unless you want to bring McKenna back up. I’d rather find a cheap veteran with a bit better bat than McKenna.
  2. Does it make sense to shop for another veteran OF rental now? It’s getting thin.
  3. He’s 6’6” I just learned. Mt. Fuji.
  4. Maybe for Abbott. Are you just asking that because they dominated us this week?
  5. She’s better than watching Keegan Akin pitch. Leave her alone.

    Coby Mayo 2023

Consensus top 30 prospect by season’s end.
  7. This. At some point since he was drafted the mechanics changed pretty significantly and this seemed to coincide with him vaulting to the status he currently enjoys.
  8. Send him down. He’s not walking anymore. There are other guys who could help us right now. It’s no different than the situation with Grod. If we are in win-now mode, it’s time for someone else to get a shot to produce.
  9. Because he provides depth and insurance in the event that the young players falter or get injured. He just stepped in for Ortiz and did exactly what he was brought here to do. Who else would you have signed for 8 mil or less?
  10. Agreed. And while I didn’t like the Frazier signing at the time, it looks like it was a the right call.
  11. Exactly, they’ve earned the benefit of doubt from me. They’re also surely working with more data than we have access to as well first hand, daily knowledge on the human level. @Sports Guy: No offense at all, I mean that sincerely, but they know more than you do.
  12. Alex Rodriguez, Troy Tulowitki, Dan Uggla, Brandon Crawford.
  13. Well, the present is now but the future will never be unimportant. Myopacity gets us trades like Zach Davies for Gerardo Parra. Gunnar is heating up and getting more comfortable. I’d encourage you to find a clip of Elias’ in game interview last night where he touched on Gunnar. Very insightful.
  14. If I knew how to paint, I’d re-create this.
  15. I don’t think they’ll be looking to trade him. He’s a key part of their pursuit for another ring.
  16. To me he looks like he doesn’t believe in his ability to do damage when he swings, which I’d argue a sports psychologist could help. And based on his struggles against lefties throughout his (short) career and his trouble against breaking stuff this year, it’s also entirely conceivable that his swing may need to be tweaked. It’s not as if the Kelenic comp is some sort of death sentence but if this continues, I’m not sure how you could not see the similarities.
  17. I think a demotion would actually help him. Looks like he’s playing not to be demoted right now instead of playing to play. It reminds me a bit of Kelenic in Seattle who has finally let loose this season so far and is enjoying massive success.
  18. Ortiz had three rbi in his debut though so yea Gunnar is expendable
