  1. Looks like there's a kid named Yiddi Cappe still available. Top 10 prospect from Cuba, plays SS. Throw him the rest of the money and call it a day

    Tyler Skaggs dead.

Devastating. Not that it really matters at all, but wondering if any O's played with him in either the Dbacks org or Angels org. Anyone who saw the start of tonight's game, was there a moment of silence in Tampa before first pitch?

    Dean Kremer 2019

Looks like he may not have had his best stuff last night but was able minimize damage. Signs of a guy who could stick as a starter. I’m still most excited about him from our “haul” last year. I think we see him get a few starts in September if we end up trading Cashner.
  4. Could this have to do with the lack of involvement from his lower half? I remember watching his delivery after we drafted him and being concerned about that. I can't find the post but I'm sure I said something about it at the time. Regardless, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I hope we leave him alone and let him develop with what's been working for him. If he proves that he can't hold velocity or is getting hurt, then maybe look into mechanical adjustments.
  5. Finally! Thanks for the heads up Frob
  6. Nice post. I’ve honestly not watched much this year, but am excited to check out Means next time he’s out there. If he can develop into a fourth or fifth starter even that would be huge. Then we can call him John Means Business.
  7. Encouraging! Thanks as always
  8. Luke- Future bullpen piece, or does he have starter stuff? I guess time will tell, but what's his ceiling do you think?
  9. Yea they certainly have set themselves up for quite a run. Apparently both players are with smallish agencies who may have been motivated to get a deal done before their clients dropped them for a bigger agency. Very unfortunate if true.
  10. 7 years 35 mil with the chance to be worth 45 mil. Jeff Passan tweeted that it is the least player friendly deal of all time. Or “worst deal” as he put it.
  11. Hahaha please do. It's very important that we get to the bottom of this.
  12. I guess my question is: is did he fall in the dugout while trying to dodge the foul ball and brace his fall with his arm/shoulder or was it just the sudden awkward movement of dodging the ball that dislocated it? If it was the former, I think you're right. The latter, and I'm right.
  13. No it didn't. And while I admittedly didn't see the mechanics of how exactly the injury occurred, it seemingly speaks to a level of laxity and fragility in his throwing shoulder that is concerning.
  14. Nothing too curious about it. He can't stay healthy, sadly.
  15. Of course this has happened. What an utter disaster of a season on all fronts. I didn't think it could get much worse. How silly of me. What should we call our curse? And when did it start? It makes me feel better to think that there might be some cosmic things working against this organization on top of all the disgusting decision making (or lack of it, as it were.)

No, that would be too functional.
