  1. Joe spent 3 years in the military during the war, and missed half a season at 34, Nick only missed a few weeks in one season, in spite of being hurt a few times, which
  2. I saw this clip on Youtube, and very poor quality, but I figure you would get a kick out of it

  3. Have youve been hanging out with @DrungoHazewood
  4. Sometimes, the 2nd year too, thats why they call it sophomore jinx.
  5. It must have been the baseball Gods.
  6. Sounds like the pitchers made an adjustment, and he was slow making his adjustment.
  7. Schoop finally hitting, but now on the bench, because they dont like his play at SS. Didn't they scout him before trading for him????????????????
  8. Gary and his battle buddy Brother John brought back many found memories of watching them play ball.
  9. I dont think we will see Trey in the Orioles HOF. He will have a decent career, just nothing to jump up and down over. IMO.
  10. Of course, 4 is better than 8.5, especially if you have a 10 WAR player, then thats 85 million per year which is stupid, then again 40 million is stupid too. IMO I was referring to what I thought Fangraphs had declared as their idea of what what 1 WAR should cost.
  11. He has played better at first, than the original scouting reports that came out of his college days. But, I agree with you, below average in both positions.
  12. Shoop showing signs of life.
  13. The Senators had a great glove at SS and no bat, which was pretty typical in those low ERA pitcher eras. As great as the Blade was, I sometimes, think he would not be an everyday player on contending teams.
  14. He played very well for Manny when Manny hurt his knee and in the playoffs. in 2014, Sept.Oct, he had an OPS of .804 While he wasn't Manny at 3rd, he was still above average with the glove. Hard to compare any SS to the Blade, which some say was the best glove at SS in the business, ever.
  15. He played very well for the team, when he had full-time status, due to injuries. He filled an important role for the team, back when they were competing.
  16. So much for that conversation we had yesterday and sitting on the bench and watching the playoffs.
  17. Beats keeping the bench warm for a losing team, wouldn't it?
  18. and on an empty stomach, most likely, right?
  19. I dont think Frank's health issues will allow it. I dont think Cal has any role in this team, with Angelos as owner.
  20. I love JJ, but I really dont think he was capable of playing a full season anymore with his back.
