  2. Miley is always been a puzzle. Talented pitcher, and let, let his head get into it too much. I remember one of the MASN guys telling Miley to just throw the pitch and not over think it, went out and got 12 Ks, his next start and had a good 3 or 4 game run, before slipping back into his usual mediocre stuff.
  3. Great pitchers do lay an occasional egg. So no, its really not mind boggling.
  4. I totally agree, one whale of a game. Wasn't that the game, that Duke shot was replayed over and over, to see if the shot clock had expired, and if the ball hit the rim as it went by. It hit, but ever so slightly, which reset the clock and allowed the rebound shot that went in to be allowed. Been a bunch of close games, and first time, all chalk made it to the sweet 16 since 1996, according to the screenshot the other night. You cant ever count a coach K team out of the running.
  5. Gausman looks to start the season on the IR
  6. Cant compare those two. Turgeon has zero chance of winning a NCAA tourney.
  7. Earlier in the week, the Braves expected Gausman to be okay, and had him scheduled to pitch today in ST game.
  8. The doctor that tested my child, had several activity tests he used to see if they could stay focus to complete a simple short task. Trust me, I get many quacks and too quick to put kids on RX. My daughter would not have made it through school without medications, holidays, weekends and summer was difficult as there was no reason to be on any drugs.
  9. They seam to align with the CDC numbers. I know personally, 1 in 4 of my kids had it severely, and now two of my six grandkids (not even from that child) has it.
  10. not like that one player is squeaky clean and its all just conspiracy with no evidence to support it.
  11. Not like Ortez never had issues controlling his anger.:)
  12. Caleb was so bad at catching that at double A, they were playing him everywhere but catcher, because he could bat. It somebody high up in the org, to remind AA, that their job was to coach and teach and put Caleb behind the plate and work with him. He went from below average to above average. Granted, his days are over, but it goes to show you, that skills can be taught. Clevenger the same, he was well below average sent back to AAA, worked hard, and got back to the bigs, as a decent backup catcher.
  13. Thats what I used to think, I thought we had a long heated discussion in OH and the Orioles bench coach actually calling the pitch selection, even back as far as when Matt was the daily C.
  14. Look at Caleb, perfect example of late bloomer. Sisco has a chance to stay at catcher, but he has to keep working hard at improving his defensive skills.
  15. To me, when you talk about playing the role of catcher behind the plate, the entire package needs to be looked at, framing, blocking, setting a good target, handling your pitcher, making good throws to second, Keeping an eye on the runner at 1st, etc. Cant say anything about pitch selection, as that comes from the dugout.
  16. Which contradicts what Buck said about Wieters and making them feel welcome.
  17. I have a feeling if he makes the 25 man, it will be as a DH, and 3rd emergency catcher.
  18. Well its awlful for me, if my catcher is bad. In my world of baseball, the catcher is pretty key to the field of play on the diamond.
  19. I think -.2 WAR for a catcher is bad. IMO
  20. How has his catcher skills look this ST?
  21. I am happy for him, but if we cant be happy for Wright and his production in 4 innings, the same applies to Chance. The question here, is, we know he can bat, but his play behind the plate was below average and thats not going to cut it.
