    Not to mention, the actual baseball itself was juiced up, would account for the large HR swing across MLB. Sorry to derail, and back to Smith Jr. I am shocked that they found a diamond in the rough, and my brain says this is a SSS, but am happy to watch and cheer the guy on.

    Sad that this happened in the RODs era. RODs doesnt help you see the ball and identifly the pitch better. There was never any evidence or even circumstantial evidence that link Brady to RODs. He or a teammate like Cal was once quoted that Brady was locked in and things were clicking for him, it was as if the ball was a softball size ball coming in.

    Thanks, I meant to say that about Walker, I was able to snatch him up on the fantasy baseball waiver wire and other GMs hadnt expected him to do well.

    Sometimes thing click a bit later for these guys. Look at Brady, a versatile defensive outfielder who could play all 3 spots, with a weak bat, and then everything click for him.

    Almost like a DD find, sorting through the bargain bins and finding something good. I think he got the short straw with the Jays and they needed a roster spot for a pitcher they went after.

    I get that part. I just hope that I dont lose out, because of the dispute, that would pain me greatly. right now, both channels are broadcast for me, just a matter at looking at MASN 1 or MASN2, and I dont care which one has the games.

    Part of me agrees and understands. But, at what cost. Cable companies are going to balk at paying 2 cable companies to carry their games, so they will probably select one or the other, which leaves the consumer likely to get screwed. I have no desire to see Nat games, but my location is halfway between both stadiums, so maybe I dont get a choice.

    It was indeed. Palmer was once quoted that Stu Miller of the Orioles had the best change up in all of baseball. His delivery was so deceptive it kept the hitters fooled.

    I suspect Means being their occasional spot starter, isnt going to get too many bullpen calls, saving him for long relief or a pop up start.

    Your right, he is a player prone to slumps. I like him to, and wish him well. I loved he had 3 dingers on opening day, I had to reread that like 4 times.

    Rochester had lots of guys on their squad in the early 70s that couldnt break into the bigs, almost like a cult following for them. Lots of New York fans actually do not love the Yankees, crazy as it sounds. King George alienated many fans over the years with his decisions and antics.

    Correct, its on the ushers. I like that Oriole and Fedex stadium, put a text number up around the stadium. Where you can report unruly fans near you, without anybody knowing who told. If I am at the game, the last thing I was to hear is potty mouth fans and totally unacceptable. Basketball fans are the worse for talking trash.
