He misplayed the throw and walked to the ball. that is not Ok with Hyde.
-
I think they are referring to when he said that our pitchers are a lot worse than their pitchers at this point.
-
When I first got on this message board I got “talked to” about downvoting others. I guess you have to be in the club. Whatever.
-
The Yankees are playing the Orioles. It is the sixth inning. You gotta be kidding me.
-
It was his “ole” terrible defensive play at first base on the Villar throw.
-
How do I get downvoted for starting the same thread as the op who got upvoted, and has a 7 page thread come on, COC, you come up with some garbage posts

Not to be whiny, but can we just cut Richie Martin loose already?
AceKing replied to DocJJ's topic in Orioles Talk
The kid should be in AA ball. Is this a serious discussion? Rule 5 players are not Major League ready players. ...and I am in no way saying we should send him anywhere except Spring training next year. -
Nobody else was doing belly flops out there. Dude needs to relax and catch a fly ball.

I actually remember that lol

You may be holding “businessmen” in too high a regard. It is a cutthroat business, obviously they are all knocking down our door to deal with the Orioles
-
So you think GMs are robots.
-
You are going way off tangent to prove some minor point within a bigger argument. Schoop will forever be a win for the Orioles at this point, but we no longer have either Schoop, nor championship aspirations.
-
Don’t be naive. There are always enemies. And GM’s want to keep their jobs, so they usually tread very carefully. If Player A And Player B are the same comp through their scouting formula, and one of them comes from Baltimore, and the other comes from Cleveland, I would have the tiebreaker go to Cleveland. Based on, among many other things, championship pedigree, Corn.
-
I am saying it may have a direct impact on the lack of trades of these and other players
-
Ok so no Orioles have it as an added bonus
-
Because baseball GM’s are smart humans, and it is pretty easy to look back over the past few years of trades with a particular franchise, and to see whether dealing with that franchise bore fruit, or did not work out. The track record recently is that the players that are traded from the Baltimore Orioles have not been extremely beneficial to the reciprocating team. If I were an opposing GM, I would not want to deal with the Orioles at this time, for the myriad of reasons that we discuss each and every day around here. *Not that good *Clubhouse cancers *players that are so bad that they end up being cut *no championship pedigree *undeveloped players who are out of options etc. I would just pass.

You can’t say this on this board, apparently...

Orioles Deal Gausman/O'Day to Braves - Schoop to Brewers
AceKing replied to weams's topic in Orioles Talk
This is probably another reason that we are having a hard time finding trade partners. -
Cmon guys, I said 2 decades. That should be a pretty big window. And I am not trying to be argumentative, but there has to be an honest admission that we are the worst MLB franchise at doing this over this time period. Back to the thread topic, as long as Mr. Elias’ “plan” involves better developing pitchers AS AN ADMISSION of this, then I think we have come a long way. If everyone sits here and makes excuses and says that Mike Cuellar was good, David Hernandez worked out, and that Dan Straily will miss his time as an Oriole, then we are just kidding ourselves.
-
So your “swatting them away” is just making excuses for why 5hey were not very good Orioles pitchers (save for Tillman and Britton, who was a failed starter) You know there are countless examples. I challenge YOU to name a few pitchers that we developed well above their “potential”, or any Free Agent that came to Baltimore and performed, in an Orioles uniform, to a level above their career average. if you can, it will be a short list. We cannot develop pitchers. Everybody knows it.
