  1. Other teams hate him as much as posters on this board. He's a pariah! lol.
  2. Success breeds confidence... or something like that.
  3. Simply, he has to give them a reason to keep him up. The line-drive out to 2B late in yesterday's game was a well hit ball. If he doesn't get a hit, he at least needs to hit it hard. He needs to make contact and not strike out. I'm a little worried, but I do think that before they send him down - if they do - they need more data to see how they can begin to address his deficiencies there. I think everyday play is a bigger issue tho. Is he worth keeping up if you can't continue putting him in the line-up as an automatic out. I would much rather see him playing everyday in AAA than in some weak rotation where he's getting only sporadic playing time and at bats. I believe he's gonna be fine, but he's got the hiccups.
  4. This board has moved to DEFCON 4. Which seems it's usual state regarding rumors and innuendo. lol
  5. Funny you mention this, I noticed the .577 after seeing something in an article before the game which had him at ~.450, and as I did, the two fellas behind me did too. The conversation between them was hysterical. Of course they consulted their mobile oracles and determined that "...if Cowser continues at this pace he'll beat the batting record by almost .200 points! That can't be right... THAT's what it says!" and I just kind of giggled. Would have no idea who to call, but I imagine when everyone in the game is batting over .400 they'll figure it out.
  6. I had never seen something like that before. He rifled it to the upper deck. It ended the inning, i know, but not who the batter was. I was out in LF under cover and said to my daughter that he was lucky he wasn't tossed. It was shocking to me that "celebration" has arrived at that level of disrespect. I figured the benches cleared later as a result of both teams getting mouthy after it.
  7. I went to the game as part of a fundraiser for my daughter's school, so I was happy to go. But it was not fun to watch. But I need to know from others if it seemed like the Brewers were being a little showboaty or sort of in your face-ish. One instance in particular makes me ask, before the benches cleared, was in maybe the 4th or 5th inning, the Brewers struck out an Oriole batter on a close pitch with the batter sort of standing stunned in the box when their catcher pops up, bounded a couple leaps in the air (edit - toward his bench) and hurled the ball into the upper deck. The batter was still in the box. It all happened fast, but I was kind of stunned. I haven't seen anything like that. I'm sorry on not having better details our seats were in 81 under cover with no vantage point of the Jumbotron. lol and other than the phone I had trouble following who was up or any other info about the game in the midst of my daughter talking my ear off the whole time which was, admittedly, the whole reason for going to the game in the first place. Good night out, terrible game.
  8. Going to see it live. Apple is an evil cult!
  9. Ben McDonald: "Holy Cowser!" lol
  10. I liked the "Love Language" too. And your squirrel reference is well placed. Kevin is good with banter, but he does release the occasional "squirrel" to chase. Sometimes the chase goes well, as I think it did with the "Love Language," but there are swings and misses, yet I can't place a specific miss. lol But Kevin does get the guys chasing squirrels from time to time during the game, but I appreciate the diversion and also that the game call isn't interrupted by it as one never loses track of counts or game situations during the banter - much like the Vin Scully diversion that #Orioles4Life21 posted. We all do this in talking to friends or posting on the game thread as the game goes by. I must admit, I miss the "radio-guy" voice of Gary Thorne and I enjoyed his banter as well. When something cracked him up, that was pure gold.
  11. They'll find something that's meaningful to them and we'll be along for the ride. I'm glad the motorcycle thing isn't getting traction with them. Seemed kinda dumb, but if that makes for a little fun for them, so be it. but i think they'll just kind of find something organic amongst themselves and we'll catch on when they do.

  13. Please don't lock this thread! Priceless. "Like a river that don't know where it's flowin', (it) took a wrong turn and just kept going." Can't wait to see where this thing dumps out.
