There is a hard and fast rule that they have to leave the bases loaded.

There are a bunch of Major League stadiums in places whose climates can barely support games in April.

Naturally, the team that never hits home runs hits a home run.

They would probably play Toronto and then Tampa. If they have the bye they probably still play Tampa, but with three days off first.

Tampa has to go to Boston and still has four left against Toronto, who also needs to win. They could easily lose three of those.

Freaking Rays, man. They just won’t die.

If the O’s load the bases, you might as well go get a beer. You know what’s coming.

I wouldn’t do that, but if one of our starters struggles in the next two games, I would absolutely throw Flaherty out there and let him finish the game, even if it takes him 200 pitches.

Honestly, everyone is tired this time of year. I think it’s just a combination no days off and a Cleveland team that is just clearly not a good matchup for us. We were all miserable after the first two games of the Tampa series, and then we rattled off 4 of the next 5 against them and Houston. Reality is still that if we win one or both of these next two games, it’s going to be very difficult for Tampa to chase us down.

Three days ago we won a series on the road against the defending World Series champs after winning the last two games against the Rays. We are still likely to win the division. Chill.
