  1. When I see a post like Tony's here, I think back to all the years when this club would get to the end of spring training trying to scrape together enough players to fill out the roster. Now they have the luxury of picking from several proven major league players for the last couple of spots. A new day.
  2. I appreciate him getting us Burnes.
  3. Unbelievable - here we go! New ownership already making a difference.
  4. The Orioles with this farm system and the ability to spend money? My condolences American League.
  5. I worry about him getting psyched out by Walltimore but if he can overcome that he looks like a mainstay.
  6. "Holmey"? When a nickname is longer than the person's actual name it's just wrong.
  7. Jackson Holliday would not be out of the question for me in a trade for those two (with a Burnes extension). You're addressing closer and front line SP.
  8. Forget about the durability - this guy's stuff just plays up so much in short stints out of the bullpen that he's just much more effective there. Put guys where they're most effective, period.
  9. The best the Orioles could do with regard to a Glasnow trade would be to try to get in on some type of 3-way deal where Glasnow ends up somewhere other than Baltimore. You don't trade that type of pitcher in the division.
  10. The reason they felt like they needed a Lyles in '22 and Gibson this past season is because they had so many young SPs who didn't have a full season in the majors under their belt. That is no longer the case with Bradish and Kremer and G-Rod came close enough that he can probably be counted on now. It is now time to focus strictly on talent when adding to the rotation whether that is through trade, free agency or both.
  11. Well, all I can say is I hope to find out if you really mean that.
  12. Honestly, if the Orioles win the World Series as a wild card you're going to feel like it's illegitimate?
  13. Definitely the free agent signing. There's time to work on extensions with the youngsters.
  14. Getting to the playoffs is the only definition of a successful season. Once you get to the playoffs it doesn't matter if you went 162-0 or barely scraped in. I think the 1-10 playoff record of the teams with the four best regular season records in baseball this year is inarguable proof of that.
