  1. 1. Kimbrel was dominant the first 2 weeks of the season. 2. His fastball sat around 93 but his command was plus with both his fastball and his curve. 3. He’s throwing 95 now but with little command. 4. I have no idea what the problem is 5. Neither do you. 6. Is Kimbrel available to be interviewed by the media? I haven’t seen one comment from him in the last two weeks, maybe longer. Maybe never.
  2. What do you consider late in the season? Last September he had a 1.50 ERA. In 12 IP he had 6 walks and 18 strikeouts.

    Kevin Brown

    I think Ben must need Kevin. Ben and Melanie (no surprise there) seemed to have no clue that the Orioles lost the DH once Rutschman replaced McCann as catcher after O’Hearn PH for McCann. Kjerstad was actually PH for Albert Suarez but no mention of it. As soon as that happened Suarez was out of the game but Ben didn’t realize it.
  4. 0-2 on Rosario and Rutschman calls for 4 change ups in a row. Suarez hasn’t been overpowering in relief but he’s serviceable for now.

    McKenna 2024

    Didn’t know where else to post this. 1. McKenna goes in as a PR has 2B stolen easily and over slides the bag and is tagged out. 2. On the line drive double over his head, which may have been uncatchable, it looked like he took a bad route. 3. On the sac fly it seemed like he was waiting to see if the runner from 3rd was going. He was in fairly shallow RF, close to the line, took 3 extra steps before actually throwing the ball.
  6. 1. I like Mayo and would love to see him called up 2. @Roy Firestone described Mayo as a patient hitter who doesn’t strike out too much. Ok, but you didn’t mention the 13 walks and 47 strikeouts in 159 PA. That’s a 29.5% K rate and only a 8% walk rate. 3. Roy talks about Mountcastle hitting .200 for the past week which seems pretty silly. Ok, in Mayo’s last week he’s 5 for 29 with 1 walk and 12 strikeouts.

    Cade Povich 2024

    I’m going to miss his exchanges with Boxscore Billy.
  8. I had waffles for breakfast today. It’s a developing situation. I may have scrambled eggs or pancakes tomorrow. It depends how I feel. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
  9. Let’s not harp on that. Close enough.

    Max Wagner 2024

    @Frobby Dude, 2924? Really?
  11. harp verb gerund or present participle: harping 1. talk or write persistently and tediously on (a particular topic). 2. See Can_of_Corn’s posts on Orioles Hangout
  12. Who’s harping on Adley’s throwing? Seems like a subject that comes up from time to time but not very often. Harping on something would be constantly pointing out that Connor Norby and Kyle Stowers are being deprived of a ML opportunity by being kept in Norfolk. LOL
  13. Mystery solved why he was shaking his hand and looking in pain his last two starts. Roch Kubatko * Kremer had a bandage around his right middle finger yesterday after receiving further treatment for a blister that popped up a couple of starts ago. Though Kremer dominated the Reds Sunday with one hit allowed in six scoreless innings, he could be seen flexing and shaking the hand. Nothing that warranted a mound visit or his removal. No big deal. “It wasn’t going to take me out of the game,” he said. “That was the worst, but it’s manageable,” he said. “It developed the last start. We had to take it down all the way until it was raw skin and kind of build it back up.” Still odd that Ben and Kevin didn’t pick up on this at all during his start.
  14. Adleys BABIP is .369. He might be making better contact but he probably leads the team in dunkers too. It’s funny. His throws to 3B are usually right on the money. At 2B I’ve never seen a catcher pull as many throws to the SS side of 2B. I thought he made one really good throw and another good throw to 2B last night. It didn’t make a difference. Those were on Burnes.
  15. Beavers is having a good season but unless the power picks up I don’t see him being or becoming the level of Cowser and Kjerstad. He’s kind of a tweener right now. Nothing really stands out. He does everything okay.
