  1. That's what did it for me. Knowing now what games I have on the family calendar (that I can defend against other obligations) is a nice feeling this summer too. Easter, May 19th run the bases, Father's Day, August Astros, September Rays. Let's goo.
  2. Or maybe the db that threw one at McClouth? Hard to keep track.
  3. For what it is worth, Ryan Ripken believes it's coming: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ryan+ripken+jordan+westberg Is it possible he is the "worst" bat in our everyday lineup at some point this year?
  4. Probably trying something from Irvin's mix, just be polite.
  5. Duquette looks good. Glad to see him. Seemed like a good guy.
  6. Darren O'Day was in the booth doing the broadcast for ATL. He struck me as being kinda coarse about his time with Baltimore. Said he was excited to be traded. Said Baltimore will boo you if you're not doing well. I didn't know much about his humor when he was here and it's not like he was technically negative about Baltimore during the broadcast... just wasn't all that sweet either about his time. His comments struck me as the type of stuff you'd save for off the mic. Anyone notice that?
  7. Hope everyone else in the Mojo Doho Casa House stays healthy.
  8. Depending on which direction you are traveling from, one doesn't have to go too far to suddenly be outside of the MASN market -- meaning a flex plan to get to even just a few games (knowing you'd spend that money anyway on ad-hoc trips), playoff ticket opportunities, and "free" access to the rest of the games thru MLB.tv provide a very sweet deal indeed. I wasn't expecting this when I signed up for flex last September, but it feels directly targeted at me (or Os fans in southeastern PA and DE - <2hours from OPACY).
  9. Pleasantly surprised to find that season ticket package owners (even flex levels, like me) get MLB.tv subscription for 2024. I live just out of market and have been a subscriber for years but this is the first year I've been a flex member.
  10. For those who can never have enough hat options, here's another one for your collection. Official League This looks like it would only be available in toddler sizing, but the company specializes in whimsical options for adults.
  11. This was known in January. Wonder if it influenced our Burnes package.
  12. Gonna go ahead and restart my computer, reload this page, pretend I haven't read any of this.
  13. And sometimes it feel like you have to give up a lot to get something. In this case, what we gave up didn't feel like too much when considering we are, in fact, getting a lot IMO. Sure, one year deal and all, but if CB had more years left the package required would have cut a lot more deeply. We don't know what the future holds, but this isn't rolling the dice on someone you have to squint at to see a breakout coming. CB's track record more than makes up for the loss of Ortiz, Hall and 34. And to make myself feel even better, I'll throw in the old "value-add of having our kids learning from CB while he's here" thing. It's not nothing!
  14. No part of me expects CB to be an Oriole after this season. Some parts of me are still hopeful that we can keep Adley and Gunnar, but this is essentially delusion because I don't want to think about the alternative right now. Delusion or not, I still expect the team to try their damnedest to keep a team together where cost, value and flexibility overlap.
