  1. Mateo and Gunnar turned a show stopping double play yesterday. Love the finnese and confidence from them both.
  2. Kinda how I feel about pronouncing Urias (who has been worth more WAR than Hays or Mountcastle since 2021) a failure after 56 ABs...
  3. We're 27-14 and our team OPS is up from this point last year? I'm not too worried.
  4. Assuming we get today's game in, who pitches Sunday? (Curious because I'm going)
  5. I trust Hays to play some CF. Since 2020, he's been worth +2 DRS as a centerfielder in 274.2 innings at the position. In that time, Mullins has been worth +15 DRS as a centerfielder in 4,044.1 innings. I'm not saying he's a better defender than Mullins. I also know there are a lot of different and imperfect stats when it comes to defense. But I think it's promising that he's averaging +1 DRS every 137 innings as a CF, considering Mullins is averaging +1 DRS every 270. I also think Mullins will heat back up.
  6. Cole "Cy Young" Irvin is pitching? We've got a good chance!
  7. I always thought it was because they thought he couldn't stay healthy. Now he's stayed healthy for 2.5 years.
  8. I think if you asked me before this season if I'd trade Mountcastle for a recent top-100 prospect young lefty starting pitcher with a sub 4.50 ERA and 6 years of team control, I'd be intrigued. But now, suddenly, it feels like the O's are flush with starting pitching and Ryan is hitting 50 points above his career OPS.
  9. Markakis and Jones are my two all time favorite O's
  10. My takeaway: Jacob Webb has that dog in him.
  11. Well if we pencil Suarez in for a no-hitter today, then we just need Kremer or Rodriquez to be solid and we can win the series...
  12. In his last year with the Athletics, Irvin last 6 or more innings 19 out of 30 times. This was him getting back to what he does best. Throwing a little softer, inducing soft contact, working that curveball, and eating innings. Swervin' Irvin
