  1. Striking out and misplaying balls in the outfield is no way to go through life as a baseball player McKenna.
  2. Well, we push the fences back and didn't really add too many additional left-handed bats. They had all offseason to move Mountcastle and Hays to right-handed friendly ballpark team but either didn't want to, or was not able to what they wanted back.
  3. I notice that Gibson doesn't look like he really wants Rutschman coming over to him after innings. Rutschman appears to realize this and taps on the butt and then runs off.
  4. Someone posted the stats and in the first year, it hurt the team more than it helped from a home runs standpoint.
  5. That's two home runs Elias' wall has cost us. Should be 4-1.
  6. Damn, Mounty got a lot of that one after Rutschman lost a HR to the Wall.
  7. This team comes off losing two of three and then the starting pitcher can't miss a bat and throws a ton of pitches, and the corner outfielders put on a clownshow. Can we just get off to good vibes for a change?
  8. Triple? Lol.. someone needs to check the official scorer's cup for Vodka!
  9. McKenna acting like he's never played RF in Camden Yards. Just awful. Good thing he's out there vs Stowers.
  10. Lack of ability to throws strikes and get swings and misses is a tough way to go through life as a pitcher.
  11. Just looks like a lack of ability to throw strikes vs a desire to challenge hitters so far.
  12. the weather is looking pretty good for April, so it won't be weather related. I expect a pretty good crowd on Tuesday with Rodriguez starting and being his t-shirt day.
  13. Gotta think they give him one rehab start first after missing so much unless they think he's ready to go.
  14. Not true, I think ownership cares a lot about local politics and filling their guest room with gold so they can take those McScrooge gold baths.
  15. This post is right on point for me. At some point you need to really lift off, and that means moving legitimate prospects for legitimate major league players so are you not seven deep in major league infielders. And where is our good hitting outfield prospect that can play plus defense defense? Cowser? He's found AAA hard so far. Haskins (4th OF type)? Kjerstad? They rightfully moved him to 1B mainly. Beavers? Fabian? I think Westburg needs to start playing a lot of LF and RF and honestly Norby does too or else you make a decision which one you will live with the glove with at 2B and he's your guy next year. Ortiz is already ready to play major league SS and is as good and maybe more consistent than Mateo.
  16. We're 9 games into the season and: Mountcastle: Has a .293 OBP Hays: Take away his 5-for-5 game and he's 2-for-25 on the season. Defensive he's been awful at -3 OOA already Santander: Slashing (.194/.250/.306/.556): Defensively he's at -1 in his limited time out there with a -35% success rate added So yeah, I don't know how they could have gotten Stowers into more games with all that success.
  17. I agree with your analysis of how the Orioles see the situation. At the end of the day though, if this was their thought process, they should have just optioned Stowers and gone with Cordero or O'Hearn off the bench. Yes, I know they would need to be added to the 40- man, but Bemboom, Krehbiel, Cano, and probably Zimmermann could all go and probably pass through waivers, especially at the end of spring training when there were a ton of guys on waivers. Even if I agreed with their analysis of Stowers vs the other players, there should be no thought process that ends with him buried at the end of the 26th man roster.
  18. Oh trust me, we are on the same sheet of music when it comes to sending Stowers down to play everyday if he's not going to ever play up with the Orioles. But again, it boggles my mind how a guy who hit so well against lefties in the minors is marginalized to being a platoon guy against right-handed pitching when it's not exactly the murderer's row of right-handed bats keeping him out.
  19. This is a pretty good reason to let him get these next three starts regardless. Not exactly the murderer's row within the AL East team, so it's a good way to get his feet wet. As long as he doesn't revert back to no/limited command Grayson, he's probably getting AT LEAST these three starts.
  20. Doesn't matter how temporary it is, it's dumb. But then again, since the Orioles seem to have no idea how to use that 26-man and just bury a guy there, why not I guess? So the Orioles get to have Vavra pinch hit for McCann on those rare Rutschman days off behind the plate. Not sure how I missed this genius roster work!
