  1. Bad lineup? Nobody in the Red Sox lineup has an OPS under .700.
  2. 25 of his first 31 pitches have been strikes.
  3. Anyone see what was on tue guys shirt behind homeplate that got him kicked out.
  4. Radar looks like rain until 8ish. Probably 40 minutes after it stops game with start.
  5. Anyone at the game and want to meetup. I'll be behind home plate plaza at 630.
  6. This was his make or break year and unfortunately, the hit tool just was unable to come around. He looked like he was growing into his frame and his power was developing last year, but he regressed this year his second time through the Carolina League. He was a toolsy guy though who could run, throw, and had some raw power, but in the end, he wasn't able to do it so with the new draftees his time had run out. I would not be surprised to see another team give him a shot though, but unless they can remake the hit tool I think his time is up.
  7. It's ashamed that he ended up getting hurt because his last start before going on the IL was an absolute dominant start. His changeup is a real weapon and the pitch he uses for his out pitch or when he needs a swing and miss. The slider can flash plus, but he uses it to get ahead of batters than as an out pitch. The fastball is nice, and he gets some swings and misses up in the zone with it, but it's an average offering despite the good velocity because it doesn't appear to have a lot of movement or carry for me. He was probably heading to Bowie after that start so it's ashamed he got hurt. I probably should have kept him on the power rankings but took him off when he got hurt and honestly lost track of him a bit. Hopefully whatever it is he's able to pitch next year.
  8. I believe he's a TJ guy. When they go on the IL for 60-days that means they are done for the year this late.
  9. Well this team's pitching did not perform well tonight outside of Akin.
  10. Down by three with one out in the 8th? Seems like the time for Cowser to get a hit.
  11. He can't pitch too much. He can't pitch with too much rest. He can't hold runners. He can't throws strikes. Maybe he just can't pitch anymore?
  12. I don't think they're mooing Kimbrel.
  13. Lol, Kimbrel is a total joke.
  14. That's the kind of at bat you have when KB calls you a super weapon.
  15. Cowser's absolutely horrendous at bat changed the tone of the inning.
  16. Not a guy that performs well under pressure at this point in his career.
  17. I don't know honestly. Someone else mentioned it. Guess we're all trying to understand why he suddenly has not been very ace like since the All-star break.
  18. Talk about coming up small Cowser.
  19. Damn, McCann just missed that...
  20. I still don't think this game is over because Criswell is crap.
  21. It's not that he had a bad start, its how he had the bad start. Veteran ace pitchers limit damage. Veteran ace pitchers do not give up 4-runs with two outs an inning AFTER his team fought to get back in the game. After giving up the run, he lost his composure and dropped in a cookie for the 3-run homer. Veteran Ace pitchers are supposed to control their emotions better.
