Bradish was on his game tonight. Probably the best we've seen his slider tonight as he threw it 51% of the time with 45% WHIFF rate. It will be interesting to see if throwing that many sliders will affect his next start. That's the most sliders I can remember seeing from him. Either way, pretty impressive start.

Tate is not good at closing but he only needs one out... This is the right call with Mancini coming up but I wish we have a better option than Tate who is like a box of chocolates and has not pitched well in these situations.

Mountcastle is going to see nothing but sliders away as long as he continues to show he can't hit anything in the low away quandrant of the strike zone. I'd fine my pitcher and catcher they set up anywhere else. A good pitcher can easily get him out and I'm not sure he has the ability to hit anything other than a mistake at this point. He's become Renaldo Nunez with less power but better defensively at 1B.

Watching the regression of Mountastle's swing decisions is something that I think will be addressed this offseason. I think Mountcastle is moved either this offseason or next.

Well that was quite the fun win. That PA by Stowers was one I've seen him have so many times in the minors. Get down 0-2 or 1-2, with swings and misses, then just crushes one.
