  1. Well let's see, 4 out of the 5 projected starters are now gone with only Kremer (who couldn't get out of the 1st inning in his last start) having a chance of coming back this year. On top of it, they lost one of the few impact relievers that had coming into this game. So I'd say they've been pretty well decimated on the pitching side. Suarez had done a good job filling in but I think we all realize Suarez was never going to be a long term starter on these team. Obviously he's quite terrible today and the Astros are White-hot.
  2. Suarez is throwing in the middle of the plate.
  3. Nothing like getting off to a quick start when you've beaten two straight. Oh and Kevin Brown's announcer jinx is one of his calling cards.
  4. Might've needed to make him pay a bit early on because his stuff looks really good.
  5. Believe and enjoy reading who you like. We explained why Mordan is not a prospect or would need a lot of bat value to become a prospect. I'd personally rather have a guy who may not have much positional value in Cook, but I know he can hit upper level pitchers. Saying that, I don't think either are really more than 35 level prospects.
  6. Can't argue with any of that. Mordan is a 100% bat first player, but I'm sure some X (twitter) expert has some formula that makes him one of the top ten players in all of the minor leagues to become a Hall of Famer. lol
  7. I'm happy to see them doing well. But at the time, my comments were valid as none of the players, including the ones from the years before had adjusted well to Delmarva outside of Basallo and Bencosme to a lesser extent. I did make me wonder if they were not being given the right development to prepare them for full season ball. We all should be happy that they have made some adjustments, or perhaps warmed with the weather, but I do know that it's still too early to run a victory lap yet. And you do a good job of following these guys, but I went to that Josh Hart well so often because you were so indignant that I would not call him a prospect and you would point out every time he had a decent week as your proof!
  8. At least they used Hader. Maybe they'll need him tomorrow and may not be as sharp.
  9. Suarez has only pitched under 5 innings in 3 of his 8 starts.
  10. Yeah, Houston has a weird stadium that allows for some cheapy home runs if you can get it down the lines.
  11. It's only fan interference if they reach over into fair play. They can interfere all they want when it's in their stands.
  12. Well, that's about it folks! They probably won't have to use Hader now.
  13. The Orioles have a 3.1 % chance to win this. So you're saying there's a chance!
  14. Nope, not with Baker warming. Besides, this game is about over so no use pushing Burnes.
  15. Look at Gunnar taking those pitch just off the plate, you know where some posters think he has a hole?
  16. This ump is brutal. Just so inconsistent.
  17. Need to get to Pressley here with the top of our order.
  18. So your blaming him for not getting a hit that had a .790 xBA on because he's batting .225 on the year and his 10th on the team in rWAR during his rookie year?
  19. The Astros have only 5 hits today. Just two of them were homers.
  20. Cowser's line drive up the middle had a .790 xBA. that was just perfect positioning and bad luck for Cowser and the Orioles.
  21. Or, they're just taking this series. They scored 14 runs yesterday and they've played great defense, had good positioning, and Blanco had his A stuff. this has nothing to do with the Orioles giving anything away. The best teams are still going to lose 62 games a year!
  22. Oy, going to have hope for some bad bullpen work.
  23. Now we know its not our day...
  24. Damn I thought Myers was going to catch that.
  25. Got to get Blanco out of this game. He's feeling it right now.
