  1. I don't know. The results have been good the last two years, but he made a pretty bad decision right there. then again, players being epically bad at their job in key situations always make managers look bad.
  2. They have better impact relievers, but we match up well in middle guys.
  3. 100% agree on Irvin. He's been going out to the mound with crap stuff and command way to much lately. But you also need to win a game. That was a key moment and Hyde failed in managing 101 about not allowing their best hitter to beat you.
  4. No way Irvin should have pitched to JRAm with 1st base open and two outs. NOT A DAMN REASON for Irvin to take his obvious craptastic stuff and pitch to JRam. None. Dumb frickin' managing.
  5. No doubt. Apparently he didn't get the memo everyone else in the league got. Glad to see it though.
  6. Weird, notice how a manager takes out his garbage starter before he gives up 3-run bombs after giving up 5 runs already with two on facing a lefty masher? Weird.
  7. Irvin can take ass right into the dugout, take off his uniform, take a shower, get dressed, go home, and then call his agent to start looking around for other pitching opportunities in the MLB. You can't suck that bad and be a starting pitching on a contending team. Just can't. Just cant give up 8 runs when your team went out and gave you 4 runs in the 1st 3 innings. He just made me go on a 30 second cursing tirade that people may have heard across the river.

  9. I rarely get angry over an absolute shit performance, but Irvin can just go donate his paycheck to charity tonight because he's about the suckiest of sucking you can possibly be when your team is giving you runs.
  10. Good freakin' Lord Irvin! Get some damn batters out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. The question will be if he can grip a bat.
  12. The good news is he hasn't come out yet.
  13. That's not good. He's in a ton of pain.
  14. This continues to be the dumbest argument that continually gets brought up around here. 1.) The Orioles are going for a pennent, this is not about development 2.) If the minor leagues did not develop players, they would not exist 3.) There are numerous stories of players that were sent back to the minors, reset, and came back and became great players. This ridiculous myth that a player has to continue to suck on a contending team because "he can't learn anything else against minor league pitching" needs to be buried with the idea that wins and losses determines how good a pitcher is.
  15. Ahhh, but you do not subscribe to the theory that left-handed can't possibly hit a left-handed pitcher unless his name is Gunnar Henderson or you play Cf like the Orioles do.
  16. Were you alive when that happened? Do you wanna compare the talent on that team and this one?
  17. Well, he's a 33-year old catcher, so yeah, we expect that he's slow.
  18. He's out. That was a perfect relay unfortunately. Good send.
  19. Keep it going. They're going to need all the runs they get with Irvin out there today serving up meatballs like an Italian chef!
  20. So you would dump Urias rather than option someone? Cowser is not getting 3-4 games a week of starts with Kjerstad up here. Hays is still going to get PAs against left-handers and he still gets some starts against right-handers. The Orioles have never done this with a time share and I doubt they plan on doing it now. I just don't see Elias getting rid of a player (Urias) to keep a redundant player (What Cowser is now that Kjestad is up) especially when that redundant player has an option. It makes no sense to bring up Kjerstad if the plan is to keep Cowser IF they bring up Mayo.
  21. Good points and honestly, I wouldn't lose sleep if Urias was traded, but I do want Cowser getting everyday at bats to work on things. He's still going to be a very good player, but I want the best team on the field and right now I want to see Kjerstad get his shot and I don't want to see Cowser rotting on the bench.
  22. The thing is, Elias hates to lose useful players and the only other person that would go would be Urias. I want to see Kjerstad get everyday PAs in LF and Cowser needs to play everyday and learn how to hit offspeed pitches. He may not see the same quality as the ones in the major leagues, but he has options and he's a 4th/5th outfielder if Kjerstad is here to get everyday PAs.
  23. Mateo's ability to backup shortstop, 2B, and CF gives him some value as a bench player as well as his late inning pinch running opportunities. I don't think teams will view him as a starter so his value is to the Orioles as a bench player. He did a nice job for awhile filling in as the everyday 2B, but we all knew he would eventually get exposed after playing too much. I like Mateo as a bench guy. The fact that he can fill in well at SS, 2B and adequately in CF is a great bench player.
