  1. Do Brach even believe half the crap he says? Holy crap, Arnold just made two comments in a row without Master of the obvious giving his take.
  2. I'm not going to lie, Newman doing color is actually better.
  3. Right on point.. MASN puts up a graphic about how good the pen has been and a second later a run was only not scored because the Blue Jays 3rd base coach has no idea how bad O'Hearn's arm is in RF.
  4. Who are they Brad? Who? Who says that? Brach reminds me of sitting next to that loudmouth at the ballpark who has something to say about everything.. AND I MEAN EVERYTHING!
  5. Berrios ends up getting through 6 when they could have gotten to the pen in the top of the 6th with a little more understanding of the situation by Westburg.
  6. Real crap job by Westburg in that PA. He has Berrios at 95 pitches. Have to work him a little after two walks. Instead he flies out. I'm not a fan when hitters aren't smart up there. Both him and Stowers jump on first pitches and did squat. Westburg needs some days off.
  7. You felt a sleepwalk coming after the Orioles scored 10 last night!
  8. I'm sure some fans like these mid-game interviews. I would not be one.
  9. Huh, I'll have to take a look at the radar. Thanks.
  10. Just the run of the mill 436 ft pull home run!
  11. A double by the Blue Jays... Waiting on Roy to tell us why this is the beginning of the end for Suarez!
  12. I'm sure Brach is a good guy, but he clearly is the worse of the color guys that have filled in for McDonald.
  13. Time to retire the "take his passport joke" with Mountcastle. I think Arnold has used that about ten times in the last three days.
  14. Can't say I'm too excited over hearing, "Not sure if he will pitch in the TB series" from Hyde. Pushing back a few days to get him in line pitch the 1st game in the TB and NY series made some sense. This, not so much. I don't have a good feeling about this at all. It certainly looks like Elias is in need of another really good starter. Now other teams know this too so the price just went up. Time to get to work for Elias.
  15. Well if a CornFan joins up and the first thing the poster does is call Sports Guy Mr. Boxscore, I think we'll know.
  16. Like a few others, you totally and utterly missed the point and your Pollyanna viewpoint is on FULL display when you say the jury is still out on Trimble. Oh well, I can only provide the information for discussion, not change people's minds who's minds are already made up.
  17. I was just referring to Orioles organization pitchers. I'm sure Boddy has successes or he would not have been hired. Again I'm not saying he's good or bad, but I am a "results matter" guy. Show me the results at the big league level with guys they drafted and developed. As I stated, I don't know if this is a draft or development issue or a little of both? All I know is we're five drafts in and there are no results from drafting and developing pitchers so far.
  18. They were, and the Orioles were remarkably healthy. Player and especially pitchers break. We were on borrowed time with Means and potentially Bradish, but luckily the orioles have found starting pitching depth with Suarez and Irvin. Irvin has been everything that we'd hope Means would be this year so far. Suarez has come out of basically nowhere and become a gift. On the farm, Povich and McDermott to a lesser extent look like they can contribute this year. Overall, the Orioles are in good shape even if God forbid they lose Bradish for the year at some point.
  19. Where are the results from college guys not drafted in the first round? Only Ortiz is an everyday player and the story is that Ortiz remade himself during COVID, not that the Orioles hitting "gurus" gave him some magic formula. The college guys who are having success at the major league level were all high 1st rounders and he guys in AAA were either 1st rounders or high 2nd rounders.. I'm not saying the systems/informaiton and coaching they have in place are not helpful, they certainly are, but I think it's fair to ask why they have not been able to pop one guy from a lower round outside of Ortiz. They invested a lot of money and draft picks into college bats that have failed or are not looking like guys right now. I'm just not sure I'm ready to call their hitting development system a raging success, yet. Rutschman, Cowser, Kjerstad were all very high picks, and Gunnar and Mayo were high risk, high reward High Schoolers who popped. I definitely will give the hitting development credit for developing Henderson and Mayo, but this is really part of my point. Maybe they need to get these high school guys and develop them vs the college guys?
