  1. Milkman's statcast batted ball numbers are off the charts this year, and those numbers become significant very quickly, in between 50-80 plate appearances. Even if you regress his performance to his career to date including his God awful MLB debut, you still end up with a player comparable to Kyle Tucker. And his current level of performance is so high that it'd be hard not to see even more upside than that. Even with the caveat that he hasnt hit the number of PAs needed for his batted ball data to be significant, I'm totally fine jumping the gun here, at least a little bit. I'll say that homerism only accounts for 20% of that. I also called for Cowser to be demoted fairly quickly last year for the same reason - his statcast batted ball data was horrific.
  2. Means has been right on schedule for like a year it feels like. I think you can only count on 1 out of the 2.
  3. Well when Baumann comes in for the 10th and walks the bases loaded I need a little more alcohol to forget about him.
  4. If Kimbrel stays healthy... he's pretty solid. Almost makes me forget about la montaña.
  5. Backdoor curve wasn't my first choice there but it gets the job done!!
  6. Kimbrel's velo is back where it should be.
  7. When I saw Sanchez's HR live I immediately thought it was odd, like he made a *really* good guess, because that ball was up at his armpits and on the outside third. That is not an easy pitch to pull out of the park unless you know it's coming or you're selling out on a wild ass guess. The insinuation seemed to be that the Brewers were stealing signs or Wells was tipping pitches.
  8. I can't believe both Montgomery and Snell signed 1 year deals and we were barely mentioned with either one to be honest. Our bullpen would look a lot better with Wells in it. He can throw 95 in the pen, he tops out at 93 as a starter. I don't want to give the O's too much flack because the Burnes pickup was the biggest move of any team last offseason. But man, it really feels like we overestimated how far along Means and Bradish would be.
  9. Grayson and Corbin and pray for a pourin'?
  10. So suspension notwithstanding Ramirez looks like an improvement over Heasley.
  11. That 1-0 pitch was a swing???
  12. Pretty bad luck for Kremer this inning.
  13. Was that a Rasheed wallace reference??
  14. That ball was smashed. I was just as surprised as he was that it stayed in.
  15. That wind is gnarly.
  16. For someone that had pinpoint strike zone awareness in the minors he's sure swinging at a lot of junk.
  17. Ehh, we lost to some teams big last year. 12-2 against Texas, 13-1 against Seattle. It happens.
  18. he doesn't have a ton of options because a lot of people pitched on Thursday and Wells wasn't sharp at all, and already threw almost 90 pitches.
  19. the apple tv strike zone box is really small on the top side of the zone.
  20. Can we leave Heasley in until his arm falls off?
  21. LMAO what was that throw from short??
