Elias likes his versatile middle IFers...
He'll grab a starter or two on MiL deals too. Esh could be one of them. Kind of generic choice. Like the old black and white canned food.
Just for my clarity, "outrighted" just means they have to pass thru waivers, right? We might keep them.
I know, some situations they can elect free agency...
I think it matters in that it would (could...) show the O's that he's fully recovered, speedy as again and all.
I guarantee if not Elias himself down there, the O's will have eyes on him. It's more like ST. It's not about the numbers he puts up but how does he look?
GREAT thing about Boston... as much as their offense can light up the scoreboard, their PITCHING can light it up with the worst of them too!!! LOL!!!
NOTSFW!!!!!!!!!!!
Pitched very well. What scares me is this Red Sox offense is REALLY starting to roll. And just at the right time.
As much as I keep hoping, I don't think anyone can take them down right now...
It's not just disagreement, your position is almost untenable. That's a solid, middle-of-the-order hitter. You just want to chuck him by the wayside and bring up or bring in WHO?
Adley isn't going to light the world on fire this year.
Both. But most importantly as a player. He put up numbers this year. In line with his career averages. Next year should be at least as good with a full, healthy workout. Couple years (extension!) should be decent.
I don't believe that. They get X for the ML roster. Y for scouting. Z for development of facilities and analytic equipment. You don't rob Peter to pay Paul. GOOD businesses don't anyways...
This. Even if not traded Trey gives us value. He's still a dangerous hitter. Not Vlad Jr. or anything like that but he's NOT the guy you want to face close and late.
I disagree. You all know Elias' love of decent middle infielders. and $1.x is not that much money. Remember, CD (I think, as far as I can tell...) is only getting >6 mill this year. $11 million "mad money" this year.
Pay Trey. Or extend him. He's still very productive, heart of the team, and it shouldn't be that much money. Like 3/30 with option(s) ?
Non-tender Seve.
Pay everyone else.
