More suggesties. I freakin' LOVE this song! If you want to hear more search Steve Martin and Men With Banjos Who Know How To Use Them on David Letterman.

Saw this file in my stash. Corn posted it months ago.
Been trying to remember which (Bob) song that reminded me of. Finally did...
Got it!

Wonderful suggestion on youboob! This is a splendid performance and VERY easy on the eyes!
The Devils Daughters, Mysti Moon & Annie Marie Lewis (niece of the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis!), along with Danny B. Harvey (guitar), Pierre Pelegrin (bass) & Paul Vezelis (drums) live on the TV show ”UP LATE AUSTIN”
Looked on the description and thru the comments, could NOT find a date. Only hint is this is a (current) show (at least 2016 to current), Up Late Austin, so this must be fairly new.
If you've got it, flaunt it! I wouldn't have clicked otherwise...

To you and all the rest, we DON'T need a C in the Rule V. What we need is a CHEAP FA, grisled old veteran like Caleb Joseph (but not NOW, not at his age...) to help teach Adley the ropes of being a ML C.

Fox does have good OBP numbers but he's just more middle infield fodder/filler.

Can you think of any planet in the universe where he would say something negative?
Uranus. It's got those weird rings skewed almost 90 degrees and just makes everything... askew.

BTW Roch's column if not already posted...

Sure. But saying everyone will just fall in line because Adley says so is a different story. People react to differently to various styles and philosophy. Player A may be a match made in heaven for Mr. Fuller's teachings. Player B may not.
If you're thinking of a high priced vet not respecting a never was and not buying into "all this newfangled ", the only "high priced vet" we have left is Trey. And he'll get along with anyone. We'll get a veteran cheap temp fix SS and C and it doesn't matter if they get along.
ALL the rest are young guys, moldable guys, who probably already embrace the analytics. I don't think it will be a problem.
If you read Roch's column today (Wednesday) it sounds like they are both extremely into the analytics, and kind of from two different directions. They'll probably each gravitate toward their particular specialties and (I think...) blend well together.

YouTube suggestions scores again! One of my FAVORITE old Bluesmen!

Popped into my head.

Just wanted to say... when I have extra money, I wouldn't touch crypto. I like Morgan silver dollars. 3/4 ounce of pure Comstock Lode silver in each one. Even the worst, most beat up one, even if you can't read the date! You'll get $25 for it. Build up a hoard of those and you have $$$ for a rainy day, no matter what any market is doing.
I'd buy gold but I can't afford it... so silver.

Philippians 4

I. Got. A. Job!
Finally. Knew I would eventually. Peace of God. And freakin' God! "In his own time." JUST in time for me. My bills paid this month and $148 left in the bank!
Not as good a job as the one that made me miss Mike's Memorial (that I didn't get.) Not Nearly as good as the place I've been trying to get re-hired at for 3+ years.
But it's a job! Pay is ... dismal. But it's ∞ times what I'm making now. The shop is nice, family-owned small shop, 2nd shift I think I'll be the 5th or 6th employee. Maybe 15 employees on both shifts. I'll be bouncing around from machine to machine, just what I love.
2nd job...

It does figure. The outfield wall was designed to make it easier for outfielders to rob home runs. It's a feature.
One of the most exciting plays in baseball. And you say the Orioles don't care about their fans.

Watkins did an nice job at AAA last year. But at 29 I don't know if he can make the jump to the majors successfully. I consider the signing a depth piece.
I hope we see Ellis signed soon.
Makes a nice story. That he never gave up, even after he gave up and started coaching.

I can't wait for the next 10-15 years, hopefully the brainiacs who are constantly tinkering with numbers can come up with a better stat than WAR, rendering it useless.
It's not that I don't like WAR, I think it's a pretty good stat and it does a decent (not perfect) enough job of understanding value.
I'd just like to see chaos, personally.
Anyway, I still think this gets resolved before spring training. At the end of the day, no one wants a work stoppage and everyone involved knows that the damage to the game will be irreparable.
Let's all hope...

nabob [ ney-bob ]
noun
1. any very wealthy, influential, or powerful person.
Basically some random boob who makes a lot of money then suddenly finds himself in a position of great power.

I think MLB will offer 29.5 age or 6 years of MLB service. That benefits the late bloomers while allowing the superstars to continue to reach FA in there mid 20's.
That along with a WAR basic arbitration years system will a get good player played more early.
I also think they will raise the 1-3 year base salary to 800K for year 0, 900k for year i and 1M for year 2.
JMO
That's a big payroll raise, especially for a team like ours.
Which may be what the owners, Manfred especially and all the nattering nabobs, might be aiming for.

I think that in the overwhelming majority of circumstances the end result will be the same.
This. You hit what you can hit. If you do well, the team does well too.

Mullins’ trade value just went up!
I wonder if he goes to church every Sunday and prays for a trade to a particular team?
And Cashman is praying that he can meet the Orioles’ price?
I'll betcha Mullins likes it right here in Balmer. Wants to see this thing thru.

Well, WELL deserved! Congrats to Cedric on a great season under any circumstances, but when giving up on switch-hitting and going strictly from the left side, not seeing left on left since... Lord knows when, Little League? That's really impressive! I can't think of enough adjectives.

My Great Undoing
Some Intriguing prospects up for Rule 5 grabs (in my opinion):
in Orioles Talk

Roch mentioned University of Arizona’s Daniel Susac and Georgia Tech's Kevin Parada this morning. Both switch hitters with big potential upside. Can't really see either of them to only to back up Adley...

https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=parada000kev
But then again... best player available.
