I am surprised by his power,,and he hits it hard off lefties too...I think he's legit...
He's hit some of the hardest home runs in spring training the last two years.

Looks like he can handle lefties fine too. No more platooning for Cowset.

I want to see Mullins back in the leadoff spot. It isn't working for Gunnar there. Let's try to get some speed on the bases early.

Cowser, consistently at .450 with a 1.300 OPS? I’ll sign up for that?
He may not consistently be there, obviously, but maybe something effective for the team.

Our offense is just too streaky. It seems like all the players go on slumps or go on tears at once. We need just one or two consistent hitters. They don't have to be great, but just consistent. Maybe that will be Cowser.

Will Hall pitching today I assume McCann will catch. So, why was Adley off last night?

Will it be on MLB TV?

The O's are third in all of MLB with +28. First is KC with a crazy +39, Cleveland is second with +35

I think the biggest question is how long the adjustment period will be

As I write this Kimbrel has gotten two outs in the ninth, so he's pitching well. But I think it was a terrible decision by Hyde to bring him in to the 9th. Cano is fresh and has only faced one hitter. He should be ok for the 9th against the bottom of Boston's order. More importantly, who is going to pitch the 10th? You've already used up Cano, Coulombe and Webb. I doubt Hyde wants to use Kimbrel for two innings. So even if the O's get through the 9th and scratch out a run in the 10th, you don't have one of your best guys to get the save.
I was thinking the same thing. He will probably use Baumann

I may be in the minority, but I hope that Adley doesn’t DH a whole lot this season. I think if he catches 120 games and is able to maybe pinch hit I think that would be something that I would much prefer rather than having him play the majority of the games at either C or DH
And we hopefully have enough other good bats to have other DH options

He hit at least one other at 110+. He was actually unlucky last night.
He broke the 2Bman's hand, or so it seemed.

Maybe he comes back as long man in the pen first?
-
Okay, I'm joking, but how often do you think he gets a break this season? He looks "locked" into the lineup. There seems to be a few people not getting a rest: Santander, Mountcastle, Adley (he DH's).
-
I loved the movement. I agree that I'm not sure he knew where it was going at times. He did get screwed by the ump and if Mullins just takes charge in the OF, that pop fly never falls in. It almost seemed like they wanted to give Holliday an opportunity to make a big play in his debut. Irvin is what he is, a good 6th-7th starter/long man in the pen.

Dude looked in pain and pretty worried to me.
Did he stay in and finish the game? I can't remember. I don't know their roster that well.

Why would either of those teams want Hays? They will want a young prospect. We need to find a contender to trade him to. Maybe one that gets an OF injury.

Colton Cowser has got to be pretty sore today after crashing into that wall. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a night off.
I bet the Red Sox 2B will have the day off after catching Gunnar's liner. His hand was on fire!

Akin looks more like Cionel Perez from when we first got him.

Westburg and Cowser stole the show from Holliday

So...barring an injury, who's next and who goes?

By several you mean the Nats, White Sox and Sacramenta's?
Oakland, Colorado?

Hey, look at our bench. How many of those guys could start on several other teams?

Is he one of the most obscure O's to ever see the field?
