  1. Every fastball seems elevated. Have to think it's a mechanics issue.
  2. Man... good to see the comeback win tonight. But the Mountain really needs to stop being a molehill.
  3. My memory of Doyle Alexander is he was traded to the Tigers in 1987 and proceeded to go 9-0 for them down the stretch.
  4. Akin should get the 9th. Have the Mountain ready if necessary
  5. I love it when Roy Freaking Firestone shows that he is a devoted fanatic just like the rest of us.
  6. You're right. I'm could be wrong but I'm guessing all of them would get claimed by some team.
  7. I agree with your long term observation. But I'm not sure Elias is going to DFA any of those pitchers, each of which is likely to eat some innings this season.
  8. He's not on the 40-man roster right? Who would have to go for Cowser to get the call?
  9. I didn't get to watch the game last night but saw the highlight. The O's were down 7-0 at that point. Was he just trying to bunt because the O's needed baserunners?
  10. I'm guessing it's not a Polish Buddha?
  11. You do realize that he was joking right?
  12. I didn't think it bothered CoC. He merely changed "dead horse" to "deceased equines" to clarify something. Going back and reading the exchanges, you seemed a lot more offended than you're letting on that he made that clarification.
  13. Actually, according to MLB.com, they score "between 22 and 34% of the time".
  14. I never realized backup catcher could be such a strength of a team
  15. Who was the player who was fast but seemed to keep running until he scored or was tagged out? Was that Luis Mercedes? Is there anyplace that shows Mateo's sprint speed on the play?
  16. He is going to be on a lot of teams' radars. The question is whether the Tigers will like the O's offer more than other teams.
  17. Such an easy swing generating that power.
  18. The 1974 Orioles had a shutout streak of 54-innings I had no idea that McNally was still pitching for them.
  19. It would seem to me that it's easier to get a short term #1 ranking for your farm system than it is to build a top 5-10 system that feeds a contending ML team for the long term. Oh... and dead-horse-beating alert. Elias has to show that he can draft/acquire/develop pitching.
  20. Will a WS contender like the Dodgers really be willing to hand over a starting SS job to someone like Ortiz who has never spent a single day in the major leagues?
