  1. This is always the right answer
  2. Not going to lie, I completely forgot that Cobb was on this team
  3. This. Gunnar did all he can do against minor league pitching. He will only get better up here. Those walk numbers are telling me he has a good eye, but he needs to be more aggressive.
  4. The Pirates are finally starting to miss Cruz. The Orioles should win this series.
  5. The balanced schedule is going to have a very interesting impact on this dynamic. My gut tells me that these early leads are going to matter just that much more because the divisions wont be facing themselves through the final six weeks like they used to. Hell, the last game the Orioles play against the Yankees is in July. Given that, the Rays, Orioles, Pirates getting out to these hot early leads, stacking up wins and putting distance between themselves and division rivals will make it just that much harder for them to be caught. due to a lack of head-to-head matchups.
  6. I think Felix essentially has the yips. He has been out of whack for his last three or four appearances. They appear like a virus. He looked particularly uncomfortable last night. It would be nice to give him a couple days to work things out.
  7. We won't know if this is a thing until the middle of the season. Price could come out of this okay, or his elbow could pop mid-game in June. While this is demonstrably good news for Sox fans, this is not likely the last time we will hear about this over the next couple of months.
  8. This will obviously be updated for today, but that makes sense to me. Even money to make the playoffs, an outside chance at the division. BP obviously thinks the Sox will take care of business against the Orioles - I think otherwise of course.
  9. It could be on the list of drugs to avoid because it could do a thing - so there is now reasonable doubt that he was 100% juicing, but he still took an ill advised risk and needs to be punished. even if it was accidental so he is getting some deference there.
  10. Bingo, but we all know that no one gives a crap about doping in the NFL.
  11. Because he still violated policy by going off the approved meds list? Or they can't allow this as an out for people who are legitimately doping, but now could use this cough syrup as a cover.
  12. The consistency of this team is staggering.
  13. The Tigers are doing their usual "back-into-the-playoffs" thing offensively.
  14. This was going to be a tough series no matter what. DC can pitch like no one else, the key is keeping their offense in check. Tillman did, Norris did not. I would like to see the Orioles win tonight, but let us not forget that DC is a very very good team and I don't think we match up particularly well against them.
  15. See man, this right here. This is how you do it. Through all the miscues they have consistently won more games than they lost. Now go on a run. Win tomorrow, win two of the next three.
  16. BP uses PECOTA in their predictions right? Haven't we already completely destroyed a lot of PECOTA predictions already this year? Cleveland has the CAKEST of cake schedules their last 20 games. Seriously. If they can hang around they could make the playoffs on that fact alone and it really won't matter how good/ bad the Orioles are. The last time the Indians will play a team with an over .500 record is agaunst the Orioles on September 4. FOURTH! The rest of the way the indians will play: 3 vs Mets 6 vs Royals (I am assuming that the Royals will likely be under .500 at this point) 6 vs White Sox 4 vs Astros 4 vs Twins

  19. He has also gotten his wins against the Royals, Mariners and struggling Angels. Against teams in the AL East he has an ERA of 6.92.
  20. The Jays are a lot like the Orioles in the sense it all comes down to their pitching. They will hit the ball a ton, or at least should, but they will have trouble getting on base, sustaining offense etc etc. A lot like the Orioles. Their pitching will be what takes them. If their young arms pitch to their potential they will be a force. As it stands, outside of Romero no one has really stepped up. Morrow, Drabek et al have been inconsistent at best.
  21. It may be uncouth top quote one's self but going back to my point of injuries, luck and systems. Could this be happening, the Yanks and Sox have both suffered very key injuries and have had some lackluster developments in their minor leagues right now. The Yanks bet the farm of Pineda and that has largely backfired so far. They are praying that Pettite can come and save them, hardly. The Sox are in worse shape, riddled with significant injuries and a FO in disarray. A trip through Minnesota quelled some of the head-hunting but the second they start playing real competition again and start losing it will come back.
  22. <p><p><p>Calling someone clueless is an insult. </p></p></p>

<p><p><p>See here is the definition for you:</p></p></p>

    <p><p><p>clueless [ˈkluːlɪs]</p></p></p>

    <p><p><p>adj</p></p></p>

    <p><p><p>Slang helpless; stupid</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>See clueless is an adjective that demeans the noun it modifies: ex: The poster is clueless when he writes the following "I didn't call you a name; I just called you clueless."</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Yes it is true that technically it is not a name per-say, but the intent to insult is there. And I'm not the one that went apoplectic over it - you are the one that left me the poorly worded series of sentence fragments in my rep box so by all means please tell me again how its "my time of the month". My goodness you ooze class don't you Rob?</p></p></p>
