Shane O Mac returned! The crowd was on fire. He's wrestling Taker at Mania in a Hell in the Cell match. If Shane wins he gets control of the company. Interesting.
Yeah that is....interesting. I like the idea of Shane being back but mixing with the Undertaker seems to random.
-
Yeah, thats some serious trash.
I responded on JR's FB last night that I'll hang in through Mania but after that I'm done with the Network.
Problem is, the month after WM Is usually interesting. Could be really interesting if Bullet Club debuts. But I wouldn't pay for it
-
If they go witht he planned Reigns vs Triple H, it will blow up in their face. People are so sick of Reigns being pushed down their throats that they will definitely cheer Triple H. I'm starting to think the best bet might be Ambrose vs Hunter, but that leaves nothing for Reigns to do.
If I had the Network, I would cancel after Fast Lane. This will be one of the worst WM Ever. The product is about as bad as possible. Completely ruining the Wyatt Family.
WM looks like:
HHH vs Reigns
Ambrose vs Lesnar
Undertaker vs Sting?
New Day vs Usos vs Dudleys
Charlotte vs Becky vs Sasha
Owens vs Styles?
-
That's because Vince doesn't interfere with NxT. The good news is Triple H knows what he's doing. The bad news is Vince isn't going away anytime soon.
I read a good article yesterday that suggested HHH might get cheered at WM over Reigns due to the fans at WM generally loving NXT

I think its picked up immensely over the past few weeks, but I can barely make it through the three hours of RAW. I fall asleep sometime during hour three and read about it in the morning.
It looks like they may pull the trigger on Brock vs Ambrose and Reigns vs Hunter as the two main events. My main issue right now is the guys who are the younger generation stars of tomorrow just don't do it for me. Reigns, Ambrose, Owens, Styles. I just can't get into these guys acts. Their wrestling is great, and thus the pay per views are fun to watch, but the storylines and acting of these guys is just atrocious. Brock is the only must see right now, and when he appears the reaction he gets is 10 times anyone on the roster. That's a BIG problem Vinnie Mac. Mania in Cowboys Stadium is gonna be a lackluster show unless something improves big time.
The matches that are brewing right now for Mania will be entertaining, but if I had to pay more than my 9.99 for it I would pass.
Maybe we're just too old for this stuff now????
Hah speak for yourself. I am only 27.

This is the first time in a long time that I can remember, where WM season is simply unwatchable.
-
This has got to be one of the most boring builds to WM ever. I assume it will pick up at Fast Lane but the whole onexperience championship thing, being defended in the RR, and being placed on a part timer, really took a lot of energy out of the product.
-
I hope the Fast Lane main event isnt as obvious as it seems. Wyatts taking out Lesnar with Reigns pinning Ambrose.
Lesnar is supposed to wrestle at Fast Lane, so it seems odd to not have him come out on Monday and attack the Wyatt Family.
-
And not surprisingly, HHH is your WWE champion.
And perhaps hinting at Owens/Styles for his first feud.
-
Interesting. Did they do it this past season as well?
-
All they need to do is transfer his rights to the Norfolk roster. He then becomes unattainable in the MiLB phase. This is what Texas has done with Russell Wilson.
I am not sure Texas ever did that. It would simply be wasting a roster spot at the AAA level. They took him in the AAA phase but that doesn't mean he stayed there.

Taken From the MLB rules
Section 2
D. VOLUNTARILY RETIRED, RESTRICTED, DISQUALIFIED AND
INELIGIBLE LISTS
. Players on the Voluntarily Retired, Restricted, Disqualified or
Ineligible Lists shall not count against either the Reserve List or Active List limits. A
player under a Major League Uniform Player’s Contract or Minor League Uniform Player
Contract who has been reserved for two consecutive years on the Voluntarily Retired,
Restricted, Disqualified or Ineligible Lists shall be omitted from further Reserve Lists and
shall not be eligible to play until the player is first reinstated in accordance with Rule 16
(Reinstatement of Players). Upon reinstatement, the Major League or Minor League Club
to which the player is reserved shall restore the player to the same status that the player
had at the time when the player retired or became ineligible.
>according to this section of the MLB Rules, if Connaughton remains on this "Restricted List" for two years he would need to be "Re-Instated" to be eligible for the Rule % Draft at any LEVEL.
A copy of this can be found :
You can try to interpret the rules all you want but I have already posted that Russell Wilson was taken in the rule 5 draft even though he was on the RL.
-
Then what good is the restricted list? What's the advantage of putting someone on it?
Not collecting salary on RL Or taking up a roster spot.
-
Maybe a dumb question. How does a player on the restricted list who isn't playing, gain enough minor league time to be eligible for the rule 5? Loophole?
What good is putting someone on the restricted list then?
RuLe 5 eligibility isn't based on service time. It is literally based on amount of time since drafted.
-
Why would a team waste a roster spot on a player that has not played for three/four years???
It also states that The list is honored throughout organized baseball and in leagues that have working agreements to respect the contracts of organized baseball, such as Nippon Pro Baseball.
This may be a "Gentleman's Agreement" with a few Owners and GM'S not fitting that particular surname (Gentlemen") but I do not see him getting drafted through the Rule 5.
He wont get drafted in the major league portion but he could be taken in the minor league portion.
And other leagues honoring the MiLB Restricted List has nothing to do with the Rule 5 draft.
-
He is on the MiLB Restricted List. RESTRICTED LIST- The Restricted List is used for many resons. A team can request that a player be placed on the restricted list if that player has left the team without a valid reason, or has announced his intention to retire but is still of an age or level of skill that could allow him to return to professional baseball in the future. In effect, the team states that it retains rights to the player if and when he becomes active again.
A player on the restricted list cannot be signed by another team unless compensation is paid to the team who placed him on the list. The list is honored throughout organized baseball and in leagues that have working agreements to respect the contracts of organized baseball, such as Nippon Pro Baseball. The list is most often used today when a player retires at a young age without receiving his unconditional release. If he decides to return to playing, he must do so with his last team, unless a trade or other deal can be worked out.

The restricted list doesn't protect him from the rule 5 draft.
-
I was mistaken.
Russell Wilson was taken in the rule 5 draft a few years ago after he became eligible due to time since draft even though he wasn't an active player.
-
And technically he would be eligible for Rule 5 draft after 2018/2019.

If Bryan is finally cleared, it will be a big boost heading into Mania season, but not sure how much Creative will get behind him not knowing when the next concussion will come. One more and I would think he's done for good. That said, IF he's healthy, a Bryan surprise entry into the Rumble and winning would be a HUGE upgrade to the current product and would certainly get viewers back to Raw. It would also set up a huge Main Event at Mania of Brock challenging vs Bryan, again, IF Bryan is healthy enough to be the top guy.
Bryan vs Brock
Triple H vs Roman Reigns
Ambrose vs Jericho
Charlotte vs Sasha Banks
Taker vs Owens
Seems they are building towards Wyatt/Lesnar. Or I had read Strowman/Lesnar.
And if there goal is to keep Reigns strong it would make sense to keep him with the title. Or at least in the title picture.
-
Any time they bring back Bryan would be a success, just from the fact that it would mean he was medically cleared. It's better to do it at a big event like RR rather than a minor PPV. Fans and WWE are hopefully smart enough so that Bryan being there should have only minimal effect on Reigns.
The fans crapped all over the RR last year after Bryan was eliminated and it was obvious Reigns was winning. And Fast Lane shouldn't be a minor PPV this year. It is likely that PPV will set up WM since the RR match is for the championship.
-
The Royal Rumble is always interesting for what surprise entrants are in the event. Usually, it's some old-timer being brought back for one last bow. But this Sunday's, might be the biggest in years, because of 3 guys - 2 of whom have never been in a Royal Rumble - Joe and AJ Styles - and a hopefully returning Daniel Bryan. Bryan coming back could make the event a success all by itself. Styles coming to the WWE - I think is bigger than when Sting debuted because Styles is still one of the top few performers in the world. Joe being there wouldn't be as big as the other 2, but this shot for him is so over-due that it should be special. Hopefully, at least one of the 3 are in the RR - looking forward to it.
Bringing Daniel Bryan back for the RR would be a huge mistake. They need to keep Reigns over with the fans. Save Bryan for Fast Lane.

Thanks, I must have missed that glimpse of her.

I thought she was done for, to bridge the gap for them to bring in the regular cast of DC Villains?
Please correct me I am wrong, but it appeared she was in a tube at Indian Hill at the end of this last episode. Though I know the actress is supposed to be headlining a new show on ABC called Murder Town. Perhaps Gotham writers are just leaving their options open.
I'm going to be so annoyed if they bring back Fish. She is awful and her overacting is unwatchable.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

Actually watched this last night. Interesting alliances to say the least.
Already getting a little tired of every bad guy ending up in Indian Hill.

Eh, while I think the stories aren't the best, and burying The Wyatt Family and Lesnar don't help, having the main roster missing Cena, Rollins, Orton, Bryan, Cesaro, and Sting, among others, doesn't help.
