Last time I bitched about a lineup I think they scored a bunch of runs. So, shows what I know. But, like, I really want to.

Plenty to pick from. I would target: Verlander (depending on the years but I think he's probably good for another 2-3), Rodon, Bassitt , Nimmo (if we trade Mullins, this could be a CF) Kershaw, Eovaldi, Cueto (should have gone after him this year), David Robertson, Robert Suarez IMO, we should be able to pick up two rotation pieces in free agency.

Should Santander be traded this offseason?

He's just fading all around, unfortunately. Nope, first one to post this is the winner: -
Should Santander be traded this offseason?

Exactly. I think Cowser steps up into an outfield spot next year at some point. I can see trading Mullins IF THE RETURNS ARE GOOD AND MAKE SENSE but I also wouldn't mind holding onto him. Mullins and Cowser are a good combination, the other spot can be addressed in free agency or via trade. But I agree, Santander, despite having a good arm shouldn't be out there and Hays is just terribly disappointing with the bat to the point that I don't think there's anything he can do on defense to make up for it. Mountcastle would be terrible out there and it doesn't really matter because he's become adequate in the field at first base. -

Not for me! Again, we should trade 2/3s of our starting outfield if it makes sense and the returns are good. Thanks for playing. -

Sounds like a Pickles problem, then. I mean, if SG put the "If it makes us better," or "if it makes sense for us" qualifiers on there, would you be more more understanding or no? -

Well now you're just being difficult. -

When you say "Two of them should go; I don't care which two" and then you add on the "provided we get a good return that makes sense for us," disclaimer think it's pretty self explanatory that it's not an argument to trade for trade's sake. In other words we can trade Mullins OR Santander as long as the return for either makes sense because there's ~1 WAR that separates the value of the two and hopefully you're making that ~1 WAR up in the trade you just made. I don't think this is really complicated. I'm not the smartest guy around but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. -
Jay Jaffe Dissects Rutschman’s impact on the O’s
Moose Milligan replied to Frobby's topic in Orioles Talk
Gotta wonder if him hitting from the right side will be a thing going forward or if they'll scrap it. I'm assuming it's been a long time since he's seen a lefty from the left side but if the intangibles are there to be a good hitter from the left side exclusively I think he can probably do it. -

I don't think it really works that way. Again, no one's arguing about trading for tradings sake. -

I'd be in favor of trading Santander or Mullins or anyone not named Rutschman or Henderson depending on the return. I don't wanna speak for @Sports Guybut I've read his stuff enough to know he doesn't want to make trades just to make trades...they have to make sense and the return has to be a good one. That kinda goes without saying but on the OH it appears that it needs to be said. I don't think anyone is advocating to trade our guys for scraps and unimpressive returns. -

It’s funny to me that you have to explain…well, magic….to someone with the user handle @OriolesMagic83

I’d make a comment about Stowers right now but I wouldn’t want to be accused of trashing him.
-
I'd rather see McKenna than Hays right now. But you're right, no Aguilar and Odor so it's still good.

It's time to play the players of the future
Moose Milligan replied to casadeozo's topic in Orioles Talk
I don't think I really trashed him, but I did a decent job of pointing out the flaws in his game and cited them as a reason as to why I think he's on the bench. A move, which again, I disagree with.
