  1. If there's a consensus #1 like Adley was, I think Elias will.
  2. 0-10 for the last 10. 11 game losing streak, if I'm not mistaken. I think we're staring another 4-32 in the face.
  3. If this is a scrap heap guy that could turn into a gem, that'd be huge. Odds are that it probably won't happen. But if you have two guys with speed like Mullins and Mateo, that's pretty awesome.
  4. This is a tough one for me. We could easily use any of them, probably except Eddie. And even then, if someone picked Eddie it wouldn't be at terrible choice. He'd be an easy upgrade over Mountcastle/Mancini. But 1B isn't the biggest position of need. I think I gotta go with Palmer. We need a top of the rotation starter more than anything, IMO. If you had Palmer, Means and then G-Rod and Hall on the horizon, that's pretty good. After that, I'm not sure. It'd be close between Cal, Brooks and Frank. We need a 3rd baseman, we need a SS. And while we have a lot of outfielders in the organization, none of them can touch Frank.
  5. I think this is a thread we have about once a year, usually in the offseason. But things are pretty bad/boring right now so here it is. If you could have any O's HoFer added to the team right now, who would it be? You can hop in the time machine and bring one of our 5 Cooperstown members back and add them to this team. I'm leaving out greats like Roberto Alomar who wasn't here long enough and Mike Mussina for @Tony-OH's sanity. Gotta have an Orioles hat on your HoF plaque. Let's say for arguments sake that you get the player at age 25, so you're going to be able to add them for the prime of their careers. Your choices are: SP Jim Palmer 3B Brooks Robinson RF Frank Robinson 1B Eddie Murray SS Cal Ripken
  6. Yeah, there's this, too. Agreed 100%. I'd rather watch the Orioles be terrible than not have anything at all. It's not even like we've got things to look forward to in the offseason, we're never acquiring any players to be excited about. I'm expecting a carbon copy of last years offseason for this upcoming winter.
  7. Ah well. 20 game hit streak is certainly nothing to sneeze at. I feel like 20 game hit streaks are pretty rare these days.
  8. Still watching as much as I can. Even though they suck and it's usually a waste of time, I can't imagine being home with the game on and choosing to watch something else instead. At this point watching for Mullins, Mancini, Means, Urias...individual performances, really. I haven't seen much of Mateo but he's electric and fun to watch, too. The speed is incredible. Also, just watching on the off chance that they get a win and someone steps up with a great pitching performance or something. Doesn't happen often, don't want to miss it if it does happen.
  9. C'mon, let's get a run or two off Barnes here just to make it somewhat interesting. Aw man, Mullins didn't get a hit today.
  10. I posted that before I saw him line one off Ottavino, for the record.
  11. I haven't seen much of him, but I kinda like Mateo so far.
  12. If you like wearing women's heels, I'm not judging.
  13. Scott, you're really wound tight this afternoon. Also, do you have a foot fetish or something?
  14. This dude has no idea where his pitches are going.
  15. It's baked into his name! He's not hiding anything!
  16. Fernando Abad? Jeez, we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
  17. This game has all the familiar feelings of a close, perhaps winnable game that will end with a giant inning from the Sox to put it comfortably out of reach.
  18. Apparently the umpire missed a terrible strike call on Devers that would have had him struck out looking and allowed the inning to continue. That's what I heard on the radio anyway.
  19. If I didn't see Keegan Akin make a start where he didn't totally implode, did it really happen?
  20. The 2018 team was the worst ever, easily. It certainly wasn't the most talented team ever but they had more talent than what their record ended up. It'd be a hard act to pass. Yep, 2017 was the indicator. They lied to themselves that they could compete in 2018.
  21. You're right, no place has everything. It does have a lot to offer but I'm pretty sure I'd be just as fine, if not happier, in a lot of other places.
