Cowser's expected numbers are trending down from deep red to light red. Statcast is descriptive and it's starting to trend in the direction that our eyes can see on the field. I don't think it can be argued the results since his scorching hot April haven't been good. I don't think Kjerstad would play the same level of defense, but I think he could out-hit him, and I'm not sure Stowers can do either over a sustained stretch of ABs but I wouldn't be against them trying. I suspect they are going to hope he can maybe get hot again and push for ROY but he has virtually no chance.

I'm more annoyed with the green screens for ads behind home plate at most of the stadiums that put an aura around the batter and pitcher and find that a hell of a lot more distracting than an arm patch I didn't even notice last night.

I honestly didn't even notice the patch when I got home, I guess if you aren't looking for it it blends in or whatever. If the team goes on a losing streak maybe people will complain about things that actually matter.

That's ABS. I don't know where they get their box, but statcast powers basically everything in the game, so I wouldn't be surprised if its close.

In the minor leagues if it touches the box, even 1/8 of an inch, it's a strike with ABS.
