I agree with this. I suspect it's to see how Rodriguez and Means look over the next couple of starts and see how the shoulder is for Rodriguez, and how effective both pitchers are.

That makes some sense, he's not in there long enough to really get loose, I guess.

It's been an effective pitch but the velocity has gone down during the season, he was over 95 and is now at 94.9.

I'm not sure about that, the OPS split is like 26 points. I wouldn't call Suarez a hard thrower, either, his fastball averages 94 mph and it hasn't ticked up in the pen.
