  1. Good comp. I see a lot of Daniel Cabrera from Suarez. A bigger guy with a real heavy fastball with heat and movement. Cabrera ending up not living up to his potential, but for a minute it was fun dream of a 1-2 with him and bedard as lethal TOR starters.
  2. Remember when CWS fans wanted Cowser, Westburg, + for Dylan Cease? Even if Cease is pitching BBs, he ain’t worth what these guys are turning into.
  3. They sure do love getting their teeth bashed in when they lose. Never in doubt L. Makes it easier to bail on them and find other ways to occupy my time.
  4. Even if there’s light at the end of the tunnel, what’s the upside? There’s no questions in my mind Cowser is better and deserves the playing time. He’s better now and has more upside. Santander is better with the bat and isn’t a butcher in the field. O’Hearn is a better DH. Hays is basically the new McKenna. I wonder what the mood is like with Hays in the locker room? Will this impact chemistry? He has to be frustrated. A still in your prime age player getting relegated after being an AS the year prior. Not too dissimilar to our old friend Nate McLouth. An AS then relegated and bounced around for a while.
  5. People will say SSS but these beat downs by the brewers have so glaringly manifested the orioles issues it’s totally shaken my hopes for the season. This is 2023 playoffs “you don’t belong here” beat down the rangers put on Baltimore last year. Besides burnes and Rodriguez, does anyone in the pitching staff, pen or starters, inspire confidence? This staff is 2019 unapologetic tanking bad. I went to both games and left before the end of the 7th of each game. Beyond disappointing.
  6. When I said fights I meant benches clearing. And 2018 I was referring to regularly getting stomped by double digits. When you’re getting hammered by 10-runs the other team can woof. If you don’t like it play better. Oh and bench hays.
  7. One of my worst baseball viewing experiences. 45 min early and they had already ran out of shirts. Rainy cold windy and a game that gave me horror visions of 2018. fights were breaking out down 9-1. Miserable and embarrassing. Left after 6 innings. Hope they can bounce back and this isn’t a sign of things to come.
  8. He did it with Holliday who is 4 years younger and only <150 AAA ABs.
  9. Do you think Holliday scuffling because he’s worried the Ripken’s may ask for #7 back? if you didn’t know better, you’d think he was batting with a blindfold on.
  10. Was #7 preserved because Cal Ripken Sr. was such a legendary member of the organization? I’m 40 years old and with the exception of supplying the seed for the best player in franchise history is he that significant to the history of the club? He was a minor league coach for a long time. Hey how bout that! In 10 years will our top prospect need to kiss the ring of buck britton if they want to wear his jersey number? This is a weird story line hovering over Holliday and the team.
  11. Boo this man. Amber was the best. Who doesn’t love her?! Funny, great voice, down to earth, knew the teams history as a local.
  12. I’d love if Cowser takes Hays’ spot in the line up moving forward. 4 rbi day should get him another chance to play this series.
  13. He’s the slowest player on the team. Cowser is clearly better across the board compared to hays. He should supplant him in the starting line up.
  14. I just don’t think he had any trade value. Like next to none. What teams out there are looking for a very average at everything corner outfielder? There’s a reason he’s a bottom of the order player and every other GM knows this. Last year he was marginally better than Adam Frazier. Put another way. If you were a team that had a Kyle Stowers or Colten Cowser in your organization, are you giving up prospects and blocking your young players to have Hays hit 7th in your line up? I suppose most people would find that irrational.
  15. Did he not get his off season weight lifting program in? That was the excuse for his poor velo last year.
