  1. Which two top 100 guys did we give up?
  2. Holliday was scratched from the AAA lineup tonight. Maybe that means he’s coming up maybe it doesn’t but I would imagine he will be up And eligible for the playoffs before it’s all said and done.
  3. People can contain about giving up too much, not getting enough back. But the MLB team improved a lot over the past few days with the trades we made. We got a #3 starter and a #4/5 starter which are both upgrades. We got two flame throwing relievers who have playoff experience and move another (Suarez) into the pen where his stuff hopefully plays better. We got a RHH OF that crushed LHP Elias said he was looking to acquire. We’re bringing Holliday up it seems and Mayo hopefully not far behind. Positive vibes only- let’s go win a World Series!
  4. Not with Holliday and Mayo coming.
  5. I believe they both came in barely in the top 100 on Fangraphs most recent update.
  6. One of the guys they got back was #47 in MLB. Which of Povich, McDermott, Norby and Wagner are that? They got Padres 2,4 and 5
  7. You dont know that they couldve packaged these guys with those guys to get Crochet or Skubal. Nobody here does. What we do know is that the market is clearly a sellers market. Do you think Elias didnt try different combinations and trade options?
  8. And thats fine. Just saying Rogers isnt a zero like many on here are proclaiming. But Norby and Stowers were almost certainly a zero for us this year and in the future.
  9. FYI Trevor Rogers 1.4 bWAR in 104 innings Zach Eflin 0.8 bWAR in 116 innings
  10. Yes we are better for October. 5 days ago we had Kremer in a game 3, and Suarez in a game 4. Now we have Eflin in Game 3 and Rogers or Kremer (whoever is better at the time) in game 4. Dominguez is certainly a playoff upgrade for our pen as well. I'd rather have him out there than Bryan Baker.
  11. Improves the team pitching while not giving up anything of consequence to our current roster or future. Like it.
  12. We have completely overhauled our rotation, and moved Suarez to the pen. We added Seranthony Dominguez who has better stuff than most of our pen. And there are still 2 hours before the deadline. How did we stay the same?
  13. I was saying that the Marlins didnt agree that Norby straight up was a fair deal.
  14. The Marlins didnt agree. I'm sure MIke tried to make it work for less. Stowers does not have much value here or on the trade market unfortunately.
  15. Not sure I get your point. We've known for a while that Norby and Stowers had to go. Does keeping them in Norfolk in 2025 help the Orioles stay competitive longer? They didnt hold as much value as a lot of peope here think. In fact Stowers had very little value clearly. Where does Norby play on the Orioles in 2025 to help us stay competitive? The entire infield is pretty much accounted for, as are the corner outfield positions if we keep Cowser and Kjerstad around. Doesnt even count if we re-sign santander. We upgraded our rotation and subsequently our bullpen for two guys that will not play here.
  16. Do you have info on other trades that Norby and Stowers couldve been a part of? The market is the market. We got a back end rotation guy to improve our pitching staff for two guys that dont/wont play here.
  17. Yes, Suarez and Povich really shouldn't be grouped together, Povich does not look like a big leaguer currently- but to me Rogers is a rotation upgrade over both. The clock has started to strike 12 on Suarez as a starter, and I like him a lot on this team, I just hope he can regain his place in the bullpen.
  18. Do you really think that Vavra is going to be here long term? I mean if thats the case, then yes- but I think he is a stop gap for Mayo/Holliday.
