Actually, I doubt it’s a grade 3. If the earlier link is right, grade 3 requires surgery and you would think we would know that now.
So if it’s a grade 2, it might be a bad one. That puts him out for a month or more.
Could very well be why they are looking at further tests. Strain is a tear - they are most likely trying to determine how bad it is and best course of action. If they are that concerned with the original imagining he’s looking at a grade 2 at the least. I don’t think we see him until mid August at earliest, he will definitely not pitch in Baltimore this year. He’s gonna need at least 6 weeks of rest before starting any type of baseball activity. Then they will bring him back very slowly. And we all know once he starts playing games that will be in Aberdeen.

I’m an Elias supporter and I hated the pick at the time and still hate the pick now. I don’t know how a rebuilding team passes on a high ceiling SS talent. With that said, I’m going to pull for Cowser just as much as any other O’s player. He’s ours now for better or for worse. I’ve not been impressed at all in the games I’ve seen him play, I’m hoping he can turn things around and start to rake. Seems like a hard worker with a good head on his shoulders. Baseball is tough, let’s see if he can figure some things out.

Tony, have you watched Prado play yet? I got a chance to watch his last few games and came away impressed. He didn’t light the world on fire but looks like he knows how to hit, has some legit bat speed, and looks like he has a frame to grow into. He also looks incredibly confident at the plate. Wondering if he has a chance to crack the top 30 sometime soon or if you still see him as a raw talent project.

We've had 3 consecutive games decided by exactly 10 runs.
Gotta put 3 on the board this inning.
No wins of greater than 5 runs before 10 run with at Boston and now a 7 run win. Offense stating to improve a bit.

Akin has become incredibly fun to watch pitch. Consider me a fan.

They all break.

Stowers looking real comfortable at the plate. Continues to stay hot. Three hits tonight (two doubles). OPS back up over .900.

Go surfing (or swimming) for 2 or 3 hours w/o proper hydration and you’ll learn all about back cramps.

Solid smash off the RF wall for a double by Cedric. 2 hits. Maybe he's coming out of his slump.
That ball was absolutely smoked.

Smart man, Trey. Aim for the bullpen.

He looked like he had his stuff through 4. 5th inning looked different fastball didn’t pop and off speed wasn’t sharp. Top 6 first slider wasn’t sharp and then the89 BP fastball. I think best case scenario is that he all of the sudden felt sick to his stomach, but sure doesn’t seem like that is the case.
-
I think his next start will be In Aberdeen.
-
Last pitch he threw sure looked like a fastball and the stadium radar gun had it at 89.
-
Three more hits tonight. Call the man up already, there is a log jam in the infield at Bowie and room for Infielders at Norfolk.

Did not look like he was throwing as hard tonight.

Unreal. I hate being an orioles fan. He looked different tonight than other times I’ve watched him. Hope it’s nothing serious. Maybe he just doesn’t fee well, he just didn’t the have same presence about him on mound tonight.
-
Son of a bitch!! He’s out of game.
-
Oh boy. Trainer came out. Maybe there is a reason he looks like he throwing at 50%….
-
2 pitches 2 outs top 6. Haha - he must be streaming something in the dugout.
-
One pitch one out top 6. Lol

His pitching motion looks effortless. Almost looks like he's playing catch. I'm watching on Milb. No velocity given. 61 pitches thru 5. Is today the day he gets to throw 90+ pitches.
I was curious on velocity as well. It legit looks like he’s warming up in pen playing catch at slightly over 50% effort. Almost looks like he’s trying to get contact and go as far in game as possible. I think they let him go 90 tonight.
-
He looks bored out there. It’s so free an easy it looks like 60% effort. Strike after strike after strike. Just filling it up like he knows no one has a chance.
-
Was really hoping he’d get called up for Fridays game (I have tix). Oh well.

Grayson is listed as Norfolks starter tonight. Looks like at least another week unless there is some Tom foolery going on.

Correct. He’s looking at the very least 6 weeks (if it’s not a bad tear and he heals quickly)of training room therapy and running before he even picks up a ball.
