  1. And I am just saying that Parra is not the lock you claim him to be. He might very well be more of the same. Dude.
  2. He is not guaranteed to be an upgrade. Nolan's career numbers are better, Snider's are very similar. You can't expect him to sustain a 370 BABIP.
  3. You know career years don't count if they are based off of defensive metrics.
  4. 95 wRC+ vs 94 wRC+. I think that or for that matter 738/710 is close enough to a wash.
  5. Career Para = career Snider. One they have already and the other costs as much in two months as the other does for the whole season and an emergency starter next season.
  6. I was just looking for an excuse to post those stats. I know you don't like anything, ever.
  7. He's rocking a 370 BABIP and his career wRC+ is 95. He's as or more likely to fall back to career norms as he is to continue at his current level. Not too many guys become a totally different hitter their sixth year in the league.
  8. Not that I would do it but how about Givens + Comp B pick? They want MLB ready players.
  9. 330 OBP for his career. Nothing to get excited about.

    Zack Greinke

None of the helmets would fit.

True but I saw a substantial number of bats in which he only saw one strike, and he tattooed it. He certainly had a very good idea of the strike zone.

I was throwing out a couple guys with a pretty decent sense of the strike zone that played in the period between Williams and Harper. I think there is a huge tendency in today's society to call the current hot thing the hottest thing ever.
  13. Didn't say I thought he would be. Just that I was reminded that the list came out.
  14. So did my friend the Braves fan. At this point why not? Zero makes a lot better story then six.
  15. A bargain at the price! All this talk of Markakis reminds me, I have to go look at Fangraphs' worst five contracts.
  16. Let me know when he passes Delmon Young.
  17. My take: They were under pressure from the union to raise payroll and the easiest way to bump short term payroll is veteran relief pitching.
  18. They should be buyers. They have plenty of prospects and payroll room.
  19. He's had some doubles recently.
  20. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Per <a href="https://twitter.com/jphoornstra">@jphoornstra</a>: Former <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/orioles?src=hash">#orioles</a> LHP Erik Bedard has retired after making 3 starts for Class A Rancho Cucamonga</p>— Roch Kubatko (@masnRoch) <a href=" ">June 11, 2015</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
  21. NP. I have to admit you had me confused for a bit there. It is probably why you thought I was ducking your question. We were just not having the same conversation.
