  1. Yep, all the more reason to not trade for a rental.
  2. Signing a player to a market value contract shouldn't have any impact on the trade itself.
  3. I would be very hesitant to sign someone with his history coming off a career season to a multi-year extension in the first place.
  4. I would rather have Davies then Mac (assuming he isn't miscast as the lefty in the pen next season). I don't think there is a chance in the world that Garcia will be starting in the majors next year.
  5. I expect more then Chris Waters out of him. You need those guys and if Wright is in the Bullpen I don't know if the O's have one next year.
  6. Yep. But I think even if he has an 880 OPS that he wont make the difference.
  7. I don't even view Davies as a viable member of the rotation. I just see him as a guy that can pitch at AAA and if the O's need a sport starter for a day or a month they can bring him up.
  8. I don't want to trade Davies just so I can "watch" Parra instead of Snider.
  9. He will probably end up somewhere in between, but 700 is more likely then 880. Didn't we just see this with Pearce last season?
  10. I explained all of that 10 pages ago, he isn't willing to listen.
  11. Why not? I mean ideally I'd have him hitting second but the difference in projected scoring is, I am sure, minimal.
  12. I thought Manny was a heck of a leadoff hitter.
  13. And I am just saying that Parra is not the lock you claim him to be. He might very well be more of the same. Dude.
  14. He is not guaranteed to be an upgrade. Nolan's career numbers are better, Snider's are very similar. You can't expect him to sustain a 370 BABIP.
  15. You know career years don't count if they are based off of defensive metrics.
  16. 95 wRC+ vs 94 wRC+. I think that or for that matter 738/710 is close enough to a wash.
  17. Career Para = career Snider. One they have already and the other costs as much in two months as the other does for the whole season and an emergency starter next season.
  18. I was just looking for an excuse to post those stats. I know you don't like anything, ever.
  19. He's rocking a 370 BABIP and his career wRC+ is 95. He's as or more likely to fall back to career norms as he is to continue at his current level. Not too many guys become a totally different hitter their sixth year in the league.
  20. Not that I would do it but how about Givens + Comp B pick? They want MLB ready players.
  21. 330 OBP for his career. Nothing to get excited about.
