  1. Yea I know it's the game thread but come on, be truthful. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=rutscad01&year=2023&t=b 308/308/385 when putting the first pitch in play this season.
  2. They won a game in them right? So they had to have a lead at some point.
  3. I'm not sure how Porvich is the equivalent to someone who has already made the majors. Of course I don't see what there is about Povich that is interesting aside from the K rate.
  4. Did you know that the board has a quote function? So folks can see that you are quoting a piece of text and not just witting something. For instance: https://academicguides.waldenu.edu/writingcenter/apa/citations/blockquotations
  5. Probably the centerpiece in a trade for that TOR starter.
  6. He would have been a real shot in the garage...I mean arm...to the bullpen.
  7. Probably all lawyers and folks that tried to become lawyers but failed the bar.
  8. Interesting they didn't try and wait out a better offer.
  9. I have to wonder if they have an unhappy employee acting out. I'm not watching do they start the game from scratch each time or does it pick up from where it stopped last time?
  10. I'll agree that they can't support 135M a year over a period of years while simultaneously creating enough profit to satisfy ownership.
  11. The Mets are interesting for a couple reasons. One Scherzer is going to have an opinion and if you are where he wants to be, it's going to lower the cost. The other interesting thing is how deep in the penalty tax they are. Every dollar they carve from payroll they get to save 1.80. I know Cohen is beyond wealthy but that has to be at least a bit intriguing.
  12. Unless he goes on a 1-12 slump, then you will have folks wanting to send him down.
  13. That and Grenier was viewed as a pretty big reach when drafted.
  14. Or be allowed anywhere near a batters box.
