It's storytelling. The current situation isn't analogous to the prior one. Different FO, owner, team, schedule and ballpark configuration.
Also, who was that third player you mentioned?
And the 53 at bats he's had this season are somehow more telling than the thousand he's had for his career?
A guy on a hot streak is just that, a guy on a hot streak. Almost always players regress to career averages.
He was bad in 2019.
He was bad in 2020.
He was bad in 2021.
He was bad in 2022.

Fastest home to third of the season, because of course it was.
With players like Cruz and De La Cruz are we finally seeing an era in which teams are able to develop the uber-athlete maxed out raw tools guys and turn them into actual ballpayers?
Not sure what you are referencing? I recall him saying something about how they had been looking at Hicks before Mullins' injury. That to me doesn't indicate that Cowser would have been the choice.
Sure you can.
2019 Nationals ran Matt Adams out there, 86 OPS+. Only starter that was lower was the catcher.
But hey, lets find a way to blame one player for everything, even if it's clearly not accurate. (BTW that was the first WS winning team I checked for a weak batting 1B)
It's a big deal that someone with his track record got demoted.
It is not a big deal that they chose to send him to rookie ball once they decided to send him down.
BS.
This isn't common.
This is Roy Halladay 2.0.
You don't see a guy that was top 3 CY Young, top 20 MVP one season go to arguably worst pitcher in the league in a season without an injury very often.
Because it's a pretty uncommon situation.
What makes more sense, moving a bunch of equipment and personnel to a location or moving one person to a location?
I'm not even sure what you are doing here? You can't honestly think the former makes more sense than the latter.
You got me!
Maybe the O's would be stupid and not do it.
They are taking a player without an injury and sending him to the facility they have with all the experts and equipment to get rehabilitated players to the level they need to be to compete at the level their skill set indicates.
It's that simple.
